Richville UCC is a mainline Protestant congregation in the United Church of Christ (ucc.org). We are a mix of all ages, with many young children, families, and seniors. We are easily accessible from all directions, about ¼ mile south of Navarre Road in Richville. Rt. 30, take the Richville Drive/Ohio Rt. 627 exit, turn left and go south through the traffic light in Richville (About a mile) and the

church will be on your left. We are also easily accessible from I-77: turn right off of Exit 101 (Faircrest Rd.) and go about 3 miles; you will find the church on your right, at the Y-intersection of Faircrest Rd.

In one week, we went from 152 pairs donated to 348! Thank you to all who have donated towards this underwear drive for the PHP Clothes Closet!

We will continue to accept donations of NEW underwear for men, women, boys and girls until Sunday, September 13. Donations may be placed in the marked box in the Fellowship Hall.

“UNDIE SUNDAY” UNDERWEAR DRIVE
for the PHP Clothes Closet

Perry Helping Perry, Inc. cordially invites us to a friendly battle of the congregations in their “Undie Sunday” Underwear Drive. That’s right, they are collecting underwear for the PHP Clothes Closet and would like us to join them as a participant!

The PHP Clothes Closet is located at 5038 W. Tuscarawas St. and offers free clothing, toiletries, household good and diapers. Underwear is one of their greatest needs among their clients. Last year, they gave out over 70,000 items to nearly 900 families.

For “Undie Sunday”, PHP is asking for donations of NEW underwear for men, women, boys and girls. Our congregation will be collecting donations from now until Sunday, September 13. Donations may be placed in the marked box in the Fellowship Hall.

**DONATION COUNT UPDATE: The underwear count as of Tuesday, August 25 is at 152 pairs. Keep those donations coming in!

At the end of the Underwear Drive, PHP will share the number of donations received by each church. The congregation who donates the largest number will have bragging rights along with many thanks!

Join us tomorrow morning at 10:30 AM for worship -- either in-person or on Facebook Live!

This Sunday is “BACK-TO” SUNDAY. Following worship, we will have a Chili Cook-Off Luncheon. The procedure for voting will be “voting with your wallet”, which means you put $1 in a jar in front of your favorite chili. The full menu for the luncheon will be chili, alternate soup, salad bar, cornbread and cakes for dessert. All are welcome!

RUCC RECYCLING REPORT

Container #211 was picked up in August, and it weighed in at 2,720 lbs. This puts our new total for recycled materials (cardboard, newspaper and junk mail) at 918,820 lbs. (or 459.41 tons).
