CITIZENS OF A GREATER KINGDOM:
Philippians 3:20-21 ESV (20) But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, (21) who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

What is the citizenship or membership of the ekklesia? Where did the Romans, who in Biblical times were in Israel, hold their citizenship? In Rome!

It has been the intent of our enemy to convince us that the best way to influence our culture is to be a good citizen. Now stay with me. This is important in the natural realm. But we are not citizens of this culture if we have been TRULY BORN AGAIN.

The world only knows the Adamic kingdom of fallen and sinful man. We who are born again should be living a life that is not a part of fallen Adam’s life.

We are citizens of a significant nation, empire, realm. Our citizenship is elsewhere, in the Kingdom of God.

Ephesians 2:19 ESV So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,

2 Corinthians 5:20 ESV Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

We are ambassadors for Christ. I want to ask you a question: Who has greater freedom and more rights in America, John Q. Citizen or the French Ambassador? The French Ambassador! The French Ambassador can come and go to places you and I cannot go as citizens of America. The French Ambassador has the audience of the President and everyone else in authority.

So why is it we think that we can influence these lesser realms more by being good citizens in the natural as opposed to being ambassadors in the spiritual realm?

I’m suggesting to you that the enemy has confused us about our citizenship. I’m not in any way suggesting that we not take advantage of our opportunities to be a witness with our voice. I’m just saying that we need to know that we are doing it as an ambassador from a greater nation and kingdom.

I’m suggesting that to accept citizenship in a lesser nation and to give up our true citizenship of heaven, does not give us more influence – it mutes our influence, it undermines our influence.

THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE:

It was Henry David Thoreau who said “The path of least resistance leads to crooked rivers and crooked men.”

Many times we, as believers, are guilty of taking the path of least resistance because it is the most familiar and we are typically creatures of habit.

However, we should not equate the path of least resistance with the easiest path to follow.

Sometimes, we make choices based on what is easiest, most pleasant, most known, least work, least monetary demand, or least painful.

However, when we do this, we may gain comfort only in the short term. If we didn't like what we came out of, taking the path of least resistance may end up gaining what we said we hated and resulting in a lot of pain in the long run.

As a believer, taking the path of MOST resistance is about participating in events, experiences, and opportunities that could potentially put you in a better situation. We all know how to "DO CHURCH" but many don't know how to "BE THE CHURCH."

It is easy to do two things as a believer,
1. Come to a church service
2. Give money to support that church service

But if we all are gifted and are being raised up to DO the work of the ministry, when do we do that? When do we become the church in word and deed? Now getting out of the Catholic structure of the church is difficult because it is safe and familiar.

Most Christians won’t because they’re afraid. They let the fear of what may happen that is out of the norm keep them from doing the very thing that will help them thrive, excel, and succeed as believers.

Remember: “The path of least resistance leads to crooked rivers and crooked men.”

LEARNING TO RULE AND REIGN IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD:

The “Kingdom of God & Kingdom of Heaven” is the spiritual realm that has God and our Lord Jesus Christ as its Head. To be a part of the Kingdom we must first be born again and then there must be the rule and reign of God in the heart and life of the believer.

There are two spiritual kingdoms:
One that has God as its head. The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven
One that has the devil as its head. The kingdom o darkness

Walking in the Kingdom of God or the rule and reign of God is learning how God made us righteous before Him. This reality enhances our ability to obtain food, drink, clothes and any other need because it is a total trust in the provision of God. The Lord is my SHEPHERD, I shall not WANT. (Have lack).

Our ability to obtain natural things by faith is directly connected to our understanding of spiritual truths of the kingdom and our position in the kingdom. Our ability to reign in life is directly connected to how much we understand the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness we have been given. KEY: God, our Father is Abba. (Daddy). He desires that which is best for us and for His glory. Therefore by faith, He desires to bless us with all we need.

We first are to possess our bodies as vessels of honor. This is a part of our learning to rule and reign in the Kingdom. If we are not faithful in that which is inside of us, why would we think that the Father would trust us with that which is outside of our skin?

1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 ESV (3) For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; (4) that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,

Standing around and confessing “I reign in life!” does not work without an understanding of the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness. It is not the power of positive thinking that will bring us victory, although we need to think about the things of God. It is not the power of positive confession that will bring us victory, although we need to confess the truth of God's Word. It is the power of faith in God, His Word, and His character that aligns us up with the victorious living the Word tells us about. The proper order is that God desires to establish His rule and reign in our hearts. When this happens then we walk ruling and reigning in our daily life. Otherwise, while confessing and teaching religious doctrines, we still find ourselves controlled by our circumstances.

To Reign means:
• To be predominant
• To prevail
• To have superior or full dominion
In short-to be atmosphere changers.

We shall reign in life as kings under the Kingship of our Lord Jesus Christ, and every action is under the authority of our Headship, our Lord Jesus Christ.

How To Break Out Of A Rut
Mark 10:46-52 By Charles Morris

Mark 10:46-52 (ESV) And they came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.” 50 And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.” 52 And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.

I read somewhere that the best definition of a rut is a grave with both ends knocked out.
So how do I get out of a rut?

I. Assume responsibility for your own life. (Vs.47)
“And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth he began to cry out.” We really need to stop blaming others for our current emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual condition.

II. Believe you can change. (Vs. 51)
“Lord that I might receive my sight.” Either Jesus came to set us free or He didn't.

III. Clarify what you really need. (Vs. 51)
“What wilt thou that I should do for you?” What do I really need (within my heart and skin), in order to be free?

IV. Stop worrying about what other people will say. (Vs. 48)
“Many charged him that he should hold his peace.” The excitement of being free from our past and excuses should cause others to feel uncomfortable.

V. Stop waiting for ideal circumstances. (Vs. 46-49)
“As he went out…a great number of people…” Time DOES NOT heal wounds; Jesus does. There will never be a better time than NOW to be set free.

VI. Do something bold and dramatic. (Vs.50)
“And he, casting away his garment.” It is time to cast off the beggar's clothes.

VII. Do it now. (Vs. 50)
“And he…came to Jesus.” If not you, who? If not now, when? If not here, where?

WE CAN'T HAVE FAITH BEYOND WHAT WE KNOW FROM GOD'S WORD:

We have faith as far as to what we know. However, we don’t know what we don’t know. We only believe as far as what we know.

What if you have never heard, read about, or seen anyone getting prayed for to receive healing? What if you sit under teaching that said the Apostolic and Prophetic ministries and the gifts of the Holy Spirit ended in the first century? This would be all you knew.

I have asked many believers if they have been baptized in the Holy Spirit and exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They responded that they had never prayed for these things because they did not believe in them. Therefore, they would not exercise faith in these areas. We only believe as far as we know.

This is why we really need to know the Word of God and the Character of God. As we study the Word the Holy Spirit will bring all things to remembrance and He will teach us all things.

John 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

What would you think about a preacher who says he believes in healing yet never lays hands on someone in prayer? He really did not believe in healing. We do or we act upon what we really believe and have faith in. Remember our Mark 11:24 and Romans 10:17 verses?

Mark 11:24 KJV Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Romans 10:17 KJV So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

I have had people say, “Pastor, I believe in the Bible.” “Pastor, I believe in the baptism with the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit.” “Pastor, I really, really believe in Jesus.” My response is “But do you believe you have received what you are praying for?” Let’s go back to Acts 14:4-10

Acts 14:6-10 KJV They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about: 7 And there they preached the gospel. 8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: 9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.

See in verse 9 that Paul perceived the man had faith. Wait a minute...Paul perceived more than this. He perceived that the man had faith to be healed. As much as Paul knew in the spirit he knew the man believed. As much as the man knew in the spirit he believed that he could be healed but he did not know what to do next. It took Paul to get the man to the next step and that was to activate his faith. It was to put action or works to his faith. Remember it is not faith plus works but it is a faith that works. Paul said to him in verse 10, “Stand up!” The man stood and was healed.

If you believe that you have received then you will believe that you are well, even when the natural senses tell you otherwise.

How did the cripple man get healed? By his own faith, he was healed. He heard the Gospel preached. By the way, it is important to see that part of the Gospel message preached is that we can be healed. How did the man get his faith? He heard the Word.

So we have all kinds or all manner of prayers. We have been speaking a lot about the PRAYER OF FAITH. We said that we believe as far as we know. We need to know that the word “faith” is a noun and the word “believe” is an action verb. Faith is knowledge received from God by way of His Holy Spirit.

SIGNS OF OUR TIMES:

Key sign...
When those whom we have loved and were our heroes of faith no longer embrace the Word of God as truth and no longer embrace the Lord Jesus Christ as the only way whereby a man can be saved.

We need to mark those who speak "another Gospel" which according to Paul is really not another Gospel but deception.

Galatians 1:6-8 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

So who or what is "The Church At Hidden Creek?" About 2 months ago 4 pastors, Terry Scarborough, John Mcinnis, Charles Morris, and Jensen Petersen decided to start a new work that will closely resemble what we read in Acts.

It would be classified as "post-denominational" meaning that you can't "pigeon-hole" the group in some denominational bias or creed. It is 4 pastors, dedicated and committed to the Word of God, without apologies, and no matter who gets offended by the message.

It is governed under the model of the five-fold office gifts that our Lord Jesus Christ gave to the church.

It is in the mindset of "let's build altars and pitch tents, instead of building tents (buildings) and pitching altars. The focus will always remain two-fold 1. Exalt and please the Lord God and 2. Win people to Christ and build them up in the Lord and the Word.

The umbrella spiritual covering for The Church At Hidden Creek is RSIM, (Raising the Standard International Ministries), a ministry that pastor Charles Morris started in Germany in 2000.

If you happen to be in the Navarre area, come by the Hidden Creek Golf Course on Sundays from 9-11am and sit around a table with us, and enjoy a good cup of joe while the Word of God is being delivered. How do we win a city? We win a city ONE HOUSE AT A TIME.

Local Ministry Vision
We desire to live out authentic Biblical lives as the body of Christ. Church is not something we join or attend. The Body of Christ is what we are every day. Looking solely to the Bible as our only guide for faith and practice, we seek to be the body of Christ, worshiping the Father in Spirit and Truth, and being led by the Holy Spirit in every part of our daily lives.

Home. In keeping with the Greatest Commandment to love the Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls (Deut. 6:4-9) and teach it to our children in our homes, we practice the core elements of home worship as the foundation for cooperate body life. This commission is demonstrated by our emphasis on home worship in a family and groups as the building blocks of body life (Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 14:26; Hebrews 10:25).

Congregation. Building upon the home worship groups, we also value the corporate community of believers for edification, education, fellowship, prayer, and service. Our emphasis on regular congregational fellowship demonstrates this community life. (Acts 2:42; 1 Corinthians 14:26; Hebrews 10:25).

Service. Every saint is called and gifted for service in the Kingdom of God. This service to be more than a few hours a week; it is a lifestyle. We teach, train, and equip the saints for service to others in the Body of Christ and the world. This ministry is not isolated to a building but rather carried out in everyday living. The goal of our service is the expansion of the Kingdom of God through the spreading of the Good News to everyone. This expansion is done through evangelism and missions. (Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:1-16; Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12).
