We have exciting news! We are changing up our Kid's Church schedule for those K-5 kiddos. The first Sunday of the month will continue to be a family service. The rest of the month, starting this weekend, kids will check directly into Kid's Church. 🥳

Tomorrow is VBS Sunday!!

Join us as we continue to celebrate! We will be inviting all kiddos up to the stage at 9:30 to sing and dance one more time. Encourage your child to wear their red VBS shirt! If your child was not able to attend VBS, we would still love for them to join in the fun. They will be able to see the screens for motions and I have extra shirts if they'd like one. We will head to kid's church right after singing to wrap up our amazing week!

Hey, NUMC Families! This Sunday we will have one combined service at 10 AM! The kids will stay in service for worship and communion with their families. We will also have a special performance from our Kid's choir! 🎵🎶🎵

Join us immediately after service for a special celebration lunch to honor Pastor Alan. Those with the last names A-F can bring a dessert, G-P main dish, and Q-Z sides. See you Sunday!

Tomorrow is Move Up "Sundae!"

Incoming Kindergarteners can now come to Kid's Church at 9:30 AM! Incoming 6th graders can now attend the youth group at 11 AM!! 🥳

Please check-in your kiddo in the main sanctuary. We will bring up the the kids and youth during the 9:30 children's moment to pray, honor, and celebrate them. We will then head over to Hildreth Hall for an ice cream sundae and some fun. It's going to be a great day! We can't wait to see you tomorrow!! 🌞🍨

This weekend is communion Sunday! The kids will stay with us in the sanctuary for the duration of the service. There will be busy bags available for your child if they'd like one. We still have kid's choir at 11 in Taylor Hall, and Nursery is available for both services (birth through preschool). Can't wait to see you Sunday!!

The best way to make your kids feel significant is not by telling them they are significant, but by giving them something significant to do. And this should start as early as possible by inviting your kids to care for other people.

The best way to start? Lead by example. Start vocalizing the needs you see: "Oh! It looks like that person needs help pushing his cart." or "That person dropped their grocery bag. I'm going to go give it back to them." or "There are some volunteer opportunities at the soup kitchen this weekend. I'm going to sign up." Encourage your kids to look outside of themselves to see how they can help others, too.

Affluence has a way of turning us inward. Serving others does the opposite. It helps us remember the world is bigger than our four walls. When we care for other people, it fuels a perspective that EVERY created human being has intrinsic value. Our sense of value is linked to how we value those around us.
