Weekly Updates

-National Back to Church Sunday – is Sept 13th. This is the day to invite friends, family, and members you haven’t seen for some time back to church!

-Blessing of the Backpacks – Sunday School begins Sept 20th with a blessing of the backpacks and make your own Sundaes at coffee hour.

-New Member Sunday – will be Sun Oct 25th. We will welcome and officially recognize new members this Sunday at morning services and also with a special cake at coffee hour afterward. Anyone who wants to officially join and become a member of the church should see Pastor Dave to be included!

-Adult Diaper Drive - The need for adult incontinence items keeps rising as our population continues to age. This Summer, our Valley Parish churches will collect the items needed such as pads, disposable underwear. All items will go to our community's diaper bank. This collection will go through Sept 30th.

Sun Aug 23 Picnic Changes –

Because of weekend rain forecasts, everything will be moved to the Naugatuck Church, with several changes.

The service will still begin at 11:00am, and we’ll do a reverse offering with an usher from each church in one of the four corners of the sanctuary. At the appropriate time, instead of ushers coming to you, you’ll go to your respective church usher! We’ll also dispense with printed bulletins as the service will be posted electronically on the sanctuary screens.

The picnic will begin downstairs immediately after the service. The churches will supply hot dogs and brats only, no burgers. Naugy’s cooking crew will boil water and cook the dogs while the service is happening.

It would be helpful for some folk to switch from deserts and some from salads to Pot Luck fare. That way we’ll have a fuller main course spread! Food contributions should be brought downstairs before the beginning of the service. In addition to ice tea and lemonade, coffee will also be provided. Parking will be in our lot, the street, and the catholic church lot across the street.

Today we celebrated Children’s Sunday. We are blessed to have over 30 faithful children enrolled in our program. It was a beautiful day to celebrate God’s role in their lives!
