Isaiah 40:2 "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak."
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." ~ Philippians 4:19 Jesus heals. He heals physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. When we pray for healing we should include each of these. Praying for a person we should pray for every thing about them. Physically we are quick to pray for but we need to remember each way a person might need healing. Also, pray for the person to feel the presence of Jesus with them and be comforted and open to what Jesus has for them.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Life can be confusing. We want to make the right decisions but are not always sure what they are. We want to live the life God has chosen for us but we don't know what it is. We want to be there for others and help them but we are not sure how. Our hearts are in the right place but we are living in a messed up world. Turn your heart to Jesus. Trust Him to have all the answers. Ask Him where to go and what to do.Submit to Him and He will guide you. Then step up one step at a time letting Him lead you.

John 14:1 1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? When the day comes that we leave this earth we will go right to heaven. Not only that but a special place will be there waiting for us. A place prepared for us that is perfect for us. Each person has this promise. We don't have to worry about what is to come. We are safely in the hands of Jesus and He is preparing for us. We will be with Him forever. We have never yet known the happiness and joy we will know when that day comes. Keep your eyes on Jesus.

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. This one is really hard. Our relationship with Jesus must keep growing so we have the faith to not be anxious. God knows our needs. He knows the answers. We need to struggle to grow. If we had no problems we would not grow. He knows why we are going through certain problems. He is teaching us things along the way. He is growing our faith. He wants us to come to Him in prayer and discuss our problems asking His guidance going through them. Have faith. Have patience. Draw close to God and talk with Him.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. We need always to remember we were sinners too. We were among the lost. While we were lost sinners God loved us so much He sent His son to suffer and die for us. Now we are saved. Now we are children of God. Now we know what love is. We need to love those who are still lost sinners. Love them like God loves them and try to bring them to God. Show them God's love. Tell them about God's forgiveness and grace. This is love. This is serving our God. This is walking in the steps of Jesus.

Psalm 139:14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. God planned you. He gave you a certain personality and made you who you are. God loves you just the way you look. He loves every thing about you. He made you the way you are to fulfill His plans for you. In Gods eyes you are who you are meant to be. He put you in a particular family, and town, and country for a reason. You are where you are meant to be. Relax. Be yourself. Let God show you what He has planned for you. It will bring you closer to God and headed for heaven someday.

Colossians 3:1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. 5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. Set your mind on things above. Heaven is your home. God is your Father. Nothing on this earth matters except the humans. God loves each one and wants them to come to Him. This earthly life is a blink of the eye in time but eternity has no end. We will be with Jesus in perfect living. We will worship God in person. We will be with friends and family who are saved. Who do you want to be in heaven with you? Are they saved? Are you encouraging them in their Christian life? Are you praying for them?

1 Corinthians 2:12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. To the world God's message doesn't make sense. They have a hard time understanding it. They have the spirit of the world that is against God. When a person believes that Jesus is the Lord and Savior and comes to Him in faith God gives them the Holy Spirit to live inside them and help them understand the truth. When we read the bible we should ask for understanding. When we hear a sermon we should ask to hear a message for us. God gave us a wonderful gift. Let Him guide you and your understanding.

Psalm 9:1 I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. When the Lord answers our prayer or gives us a blessing we must thank Him and then we should tell others what He has done for us. Many are praying for something or needing a blessing and hearing what He has done for you can encourage them as they wait for answers. God is sooooo good we need to share His goodness whenever we can. People get discouraged. People are impatient. People get scared. They need comfort from us. Remind them that the Lord answers prayer at the right time, in the right way.

Ephesians 4:13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. The less we know Jesus the more we will be tossed about by the troubles of this world. We need to be continually growing and learning. Read and study the word. Be fed at church. Pray and talk to Jesus. Ask Him questions. Tell Him your doubts. He understands. Take part in group bible studies. We are either growing or stagnant. We must be growing. Each of us individually and as a church must help each other to grow and be more open to Jesus leading us. If He asks us to do something for Him He will provide what we need to do it. Don't sit there happy to just be a Christian. The most beautiful lake is useless if it becomes stagnant.

1 John 4:9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. We were lost. We were sinners. God sent Jesus to die for us while we were still lost sinners. He loved us then. He loves us now. The world is full of lost sinners still. God loves each one of them. Jesus paid the price for them. We must love them and pray for them to be saved. No matter what the sin it is still sin. If you lie or steal it is a sin just as much as murder or any other sin. We are no better than any one else. God would like all people to come to Him. Are we praying for them? Are we sharing Gods truth and love?

Colossians 2:6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Easter is past and life goes on. Back to everyday things. Some who celebrated Easter will now go back to a worldly life. Those of us that belong to Jesus must be careful to keep close to Him and not forget the joy that comes on Easter. Live your lives in Him growing and sharing Him.Be strong in Him thanking Him everyday. We must be growing or we will be stagnant. Jesus deserves our best.
