Eucharistic Minister training for ministers to the sick and homebound will be held at St. Francis Church on Wednesday, October 7 in the church from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. This session will cover Archdiocesan mandates, care and custody of the Eucharist, best practices for making a pastoral visit and a review of the current official ritual given to lay persons for distributing communion to the sick and homebound.

A training session for Eucharistic Ministers (Be What You See and Receive Who You Are) will be held at St. Francis Church on Wednesday, September 16th from 630 to 8:30 PM in the church. This session includes a theological reflection on ministry and practical considerations for distributing holy communion at Mass in church.

The 19th Connecticut Catholic men’s conference will be held on Saturday, October 10 at holy Cross high school 587 Oronoke Rd., Waterbury, CT. Doors open at 7:30 AM with the event beginning 8:30 AM guest speakers Fr. Dan Reebok (priest and exorcist), Fr. Devan Gibson (Missionaries of the most Holy Eucharist), Dr. Carlo Broussard (author) and Jean Mancini (former president March for Life). Please register at CTCatholicmen.org

Summer Outreach - "Brian's Bag" for the Homeless are requesting the following items for our homeless brothers and sisters: Bar soap (large); washcloths; deodorant for men and women; tee shirts for men (med & large); underwear for men and women (sm & med for women, med & lge for men). Your outstanding generosity to our less fortunate brothers and sisters is most grateful. Thank you for all you do to help those in need. Boxes will be at all Church entrances. Returns by Sunday, June 28th.

On Friday, June 12, 2026 the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, as part of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the US bishops will consecrate the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

We as a parish family will conduct a consecration ceremony during the 7:15 AM Mass on June 12th. Consecration prayer cards are available in the Church for those who cannot attend. You are most welcome to participate in the Eucharistic Adoration from 6 PM to 7PM Friday evening in the Rectory Chapel.

Consecration of the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Please join us on June 12th at 7:15 AM Mass as part of the July 4th 250th anniversary celebration of the United States in consecrating our Nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
