Today or Rooted Kids leader took the children outside to climb a tree and learn about Zacchaeus. 🤗 Too cute!

Based on the biblical account in Luke 19:3, Zacchaeus was notoriously short, likely standing around 4 to 5 feet tall. Given that the average height for a man in the 1st-century Mediterranean was about 5'3" to 5'5", his "small stature" made him significantly shorter than his peers, forcing him to climb a tree to see Jesus.

He was a wealthy, despised tax collector in Jericho when he climbed the sycamore tree, Jesus called him down, inviting himself to his home.

This act of grace causes Zacchaeus to repent, vowing to give half his possessions to the poor and repay those he cheated fourfold.
