Thank you to everyone who came out to honor, remember, and celebrate with us this Memorial Day. Seeing this community come together, year after year, means everything to us.

A special thank you to our volunteers who helped prepare the park, clean the headstones, and place flags at our veterans' memorials.
We were honored to welcome:

🎖️ D. Barnett F-100 Fighter Pilot, Vietnam Conflict and Cold War veteran. Member of the Order of Daedalians.
🎖️ Dr. Neal Ridge Physician with 28 years in the U.S. Navy and Air Force. Deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and beyond.
🎖️ Kathleen Wi******er President, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Tent 5.
🎖️ CDR George "Ted" Parsons 32 years of Navy service. Combat tour off Vietnam. Member of over 15 veteran groups.
🎤 Eddie Bracamontes Bodybuilder, motivational speaker, and Beast Games Season 2 contestant on Prime Video.

Gracias a todos los que vinieron a honrar, recordar y celebrar con nosotros este Día de los Caídos. Ver a esta comunidad reunirse, año tras año, lo significa todo para nosotros.

This Memorial Day, we're honored to welcome Lt. Col. Dave Barnett (USAF, Ret.) at La Vista.

A 3rd generation Californian from Temecula, Dave served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force as an F-100 Super Sabre fighter pilot — including two tours in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict.

Today, he lives in San Diego, volunteers at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, and still finds time for handball and golf.

Memorial Day is a day for remembering those who gave everything. It's also a day to sit with those who carry the weight of that service still.

We're grateful to have Dave with us today.

Este Memorial Day, nos honra recibir al Teniente Coronel Dave Barnett (USAF, Retirado) en La Vista.

Californiano de tercera generación, criado en Temecula, Dave sirvió 22 años en la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos como piloto de combate del F-100 Super Sabre — incluyendo dos misiones en Tailandia durante el conflicto de Vietnam.

Hoy vive en San Diego, es voluntario en el San Diego Air & Space Museum, y todavía encuentra tiempo para el handball y el golf.
