Open to all Jews in the Metrowest area as a place to learn and live their heritage. Chabad serves all segments of the Jewish community.

Chabad Center of Natick has become a popular center for Jews of all backgrounds who want to learn more about their Jewish roots. Chabad offers a wide variety of educational and spiritual opportunities, including Torah classes and lectures, and an array of family and social activities. ss of their personal level of religious observance. The philosophy is in keeping with the Chabad-Lubavitch approach of joy, scholarship and unconditional acceptance and love for every Jew. Chabad is under the spiritual guidance of Rabbi Levi Fogelman, a warm, caring and energetic individual. The rabbi's approach is that Torah must be presented and experienced in a modern, relevant context and made available to each individual on their own level. Rabbi Fogelman and his wife Chanie are emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, and are both dedicated in their service to the community. The services are traditional, and are conducted in a joyous, casual atmosphere. Children are included and most welcome. Many of those who attend cannot read Hebrew, yet everyone feels at home. The prayer book is bi-lingual and various English readings are included in the service. Song and commentary add meaning and participation to the prayers. An important part of our community is the weekly Kiddush that follows the Shabbat morning services, where friendships are created and nurtured, and we celebrate each other's happy occasions and anniversaries. Starting the Jewish New Year with GREAT ENERGY!

This past Tuesday evening, many women gathered at Chabad for a Pre-Rosh Hashanah🍎🍎 Ladies Night Out, featuring a creative hands-on project: making their own resin mezuzah cases to take home.

The tables were set with everything needed for the project - dried flowers, glass beads, sparkles, molds, and resin.

Everyone got right to work, choosing their designs and following along step by step as they poured and layered the resin. By the end of the night, everyone had a beautiful mezuzah case to take home.

The ambiance was electric, and the food matched it. Honey cookies, mini honey cakes, apple pie - a Rosh Hashanah spread done right. The citrus pomegranate salad quietly stole the show. A separate table featured a beautiful Rosh Hashanah display with round challah, pomegranates, honey, and a shofar, alongside a model doorway with its own mezuzah setup.

But the evening was about much more than creating a beautiful mezuzah case.

We discussed the special connection between Mezuzah and this time of year. Elul is a month of reflection and preparation before the High Holidays, and traditionally a time when mezuzahs are checked to make sure they remain kosher.

The mitzvah of Mezuzah brings the physical and spiritual together, placing holy words on the doorposts of our homes and recognizing G-d’s presence in the places where we live our everyday lives. We also spoke about the special protection associated with Mezuzah, where mezuzahs are placed, and the importance of making sure the scroll inside is kosher.

And it brought us right back to the project itself: a mezuzah case can be beautiful on the outside, but it is the scroll inside that gives it its holiness. Body and soul.

As we worked to beautify the mitzvah on the outside, it was a beautiful reminder that what is on the inside is what really matters.

It was such a fun and special evening with so many wonderful women - creating, learning, laughing, enjoying delicious treats, and heading into Rosh Hashanah with a little more inspiration and a beautiful new mezuzah case to bring home.
