I'm so excited that Debbie Harary will be exhibiting this weekend at the Paradise City Arts Festival in Marlborough, a nationally renowned treasure. The show is this weekend in Marlborough (easy logistics and free parking) Friday - Sunday with hours ~10-5 or 6 each day. There is quite a bit of Judaica there as well - including great and reasonably priced gifts for the holidays, future heirlooms for new families, clothing and accessories and more.

It is honestly a fantastic way to spend a few hours, buy a few gifts (you know you need to anyway), and enjoy good company, live music, great food and the incredible works by talented artisans and artists from all over the country.

Click through to their website for a $2 off coupon and make sure you fill out the raffle entry :). Have fun!

Religious Ramifications: food for thought on a day like today. When the lights go out there will be plenty of time to ponder big issues like these. Thanks Jesa Damora

Also, apparently Whole Foods is well stocked with milk and eggs (thank you Steve Garfield).

And finally, worth "liking" the French Toast Alert System - they are consistently providing truly essential information (in a humorous way even) about dealing with this storm (and others).

Stay Safe in the Storm. Shabbat Shalom. See you Soon.
.... ssss

The Boston Eruv, which maintains a series of markers and boundaries that give observant Jews a way to move about in public on the Sabbath, should be considered inoperable because of the storm.

FYI. There are so many great events happening over the weeks before the holidays. Most if not all feature something specifically for those celebrating Hanukkah alongside the other festive holiday trinkets, masterpieces and everything in between. They also offer refreshments, music, community and a fun place to go and admire (even if you don't acquire!).

The 17th Fountain Street Winter Open Studios 2012 takes place this Friday night from 5:30-9 p.m. & Saturday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Bancroft Building, 59 Fountain Street, Framingham, Mass.

“The art loving public is invited to visit artists in their workspaces as they open their doors for this event. Varied media will be on display including painting, photography, sculpture, prints, watercolor, digital images, hand crafted jewelry, textile arts & mixed media. Explore artist studios and learn more about the art-making process. From greeting cards to major pieces of art, there is something for everyone to enjoy and purchase. There is plenty of free parking, with only a 10-minute walk from the Framingham Commuter Rail."

While there, make sure to check out the “A Sense of Place Group Show” and “Small Work Showcase” exhibitions at Fountain Street Fine Art. For more information, call (617) 750-5003 or visit http://fountainstreetstudios.com.
