Location: Natchitoches, LA
Duration: 3 Weeks (3 Days per Week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Target Audience: Grades 3rd - 8th (Ages 8-14)
Maximum Capacity: 50 students
Focus: STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math), Financial Literacy, Drone Technology & More!

Join us for an exciting, hands-on summer camp where students explore the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) while learning real-world skills like financial literacy and the cutting-edge world of drone technology!

Through creative projects, critical thinking, and problem-solving exercises, participants will gain practical knowledge that will shape their future. The camp will conclude with a STEAM Exhibition, where students will showcase their projects and discoveries to family, friends, and the Natchitoches community.

Empowering Young Minds: STEAM Explorers Summer Camp Launches in Natchitoches, LA
Sponsored by Natchitoches Community Improvement Foundation and Coordinated by the Emma Robinson Williams Education Foundation (ERWEF) Natchitoches, LA โ€” The Emma Robinson Williams Education Foundation (ERWEF), in proud partnership with the Natchitoches Community Improvement Foundation, is thrilled to announce the launch of the STEAM Explorers Summer Camp โ€” a dynamic new initiative aimed at empowering youth through immersive science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education.

This exciting, hands-on learning experience is part of the Lee Fisher STEAM Academyโ€™s "STEAM Collaborative" Initiative, a visionary program designed to inspire innovation and academic excellence among local students.

Camp Details:
๐Ÿ“ LP Vaughn Elementary School
๐Ÿ“… Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays โ€“ July 8 through July 24, 2025
โฐ 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
๐ŸŽฏ Open to students ages 9โ€“14

At the heart of the camp is Drone Legends, a nationally recognized STEAM curriculum that blends high-impact learning with real-world applications. Students will engage in exciting drone missions that build 21st-century skills like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving โ€” all aligned to national educational standards. โ€œWe believe that investing in our childrenโ€™s innovation potential is one of the most powerful ways to build a better future for Natchitoches,โ€ said Dr. Ross F.
