Empowering Young Minds: STEAM Explorers Summer Camp Launches in Natchitoches, LA
Sponsored by Natchitoches Community Improvement Foundation and Coordinated by the Emma Robinson Williams Education Foundation (ERWEF) Natchitoches, LA โ The Emma Robinson Williams Education Foundation (ERWEF), in proud partnership with the Natchitoches Community Improvement Foundation, is thrilled to announce the launch of the STEAM Explorers Summer Camp โ a dynamic new initiative aimed at empowering youth through immersive science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education.
This exciting, hands-on learning experience is part of the Lee Fisher STEAM Academyโs "STEAM Collaborative" Initiative, a visionary program designed to inspire innovation and academic excellence among local students.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays โ July 8 through July 24, 2025
โฐ 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM

At the heart of the camp is Drone Legends, a nationally recognized STEAM curriculum that blends high-impact learning with real-world applications. Students will engage in exciting drone missions that build 21st-century skills like critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving โ all aligned to national educational standards. โWe believe that investing in our childrenโs innovation potential is one of the most powerful ways to build a better future for Natchitoches,โ said Dr. Ross F. Williams Jr, Executive Director of ERWEF and Camp Coordinator. โThis camp represents a milestone in our mission to expand educational opportunity and inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators.โ Through this groundbreaking partnership, the STEAM Explorers Summer Camp offers an engaging, supportive, and transformative environment where local youth can explore future-forward careers, sharpen their skills, and unlock their full potential.
