Weā€™re so excited to welcome our friend Rabbi Brian Mayer tomorrow! Heā€™ll be sharing from his book, ā€œRabbi Brianā€™s Highly Unorthodox Gospel.ā€ Weā€™ll have copies available for purchase and Rabbi Brian is happy to sign them, too.

Heā€™ll also be joining us for Common Ground lunch right after the gathering. Weā€™ll meet at Jack Brownā€™s Beer and Burger Joint in Edgehill right after church.

This Sunday we are beginning a new series called Bible Stories for Grown-Ups. The idea behind the series is simple: Many of us were offered interpretations of the Bible as children and, either implicitly or explicitly, told that we had the right ā€œanswersā€ and that faithfulness meant keeping and repeating those interpretations for our whole lives. But that isnā€™t how anything really works, is it? As we mature into adulthood and beyond, we take what we were taught as childrenā€”about math, science, etcā€”and expand our understanding as we grow. Shouldnā€™t we do the same with the Bible?

Our first story in this series will be the contentious relationship between two brothers, Jacob and Esau. What does their story have to say to us as grown-ups? Weā€™ll talk about it this Sunday at GracePointe!

Weā€™re hiring a part-time Director for GracePointe Kids!

Are you passionate about helping kids experience a faith that is thoughtful, inclusive, and full of wonder? GracePointe Church is looking for a GP Kids Director to lead and nurture our childrenā€™s ministry in a way that reflects our values of curiosity, compassion, and community.

This is a part-time role (15 hour per week), ideal for someone who loves working with kids and families and thrives in a creative, collaborative environment. The primary commitment is Sunday mornings, along with occasional special events.
