📖 This Sunday at Lighthouse Baptist Church

Finishing this week in the book of Titus:

As we finish the book of Titus, we're reminded that God's mercy is at the center of everything. That mercy rescued us, unites us, and empowers us to live in a way that points others to Jesus. When the world sees the gospel lived out in our lives-through our unity, usefulness, and grace toward others—it has the power to draw people into the same saving mercy we've received.
May we remember this every day:

* God's mercy changes everything.
* Let's live as witnesses of that mercy.
* May others see Christ in us every day.
* Fruitfulness is the result of grace.
* Devote yourself to good works.

📖 This Past Sunday at Lighthouse Baptist Church

We continued our series, “Titus: Setting the Church in Order,” with a message titled:

“We Were Them: Now We’re Marked by Mercy”
📍 Titus 3:1–7

✨ Big Idea:
Because God’s mercy rescued us from who we were, we live as His witnesses in the world, so that others can become heirs of the same mercy.

What a powerful reminder that our salvation is not based on our own righteousness, but on the mercy and grace of God. The same mercy that transformed our lives should be reflected in the way we live, serve, and interact with others every day.

May we never forget where God has brought us from, and may our lives point others to the saving mercy found in Jesus Christ.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved church member, Edwin Reid.

Edwin was a cherished part of the Lighthouse Baptist Church family. His faithful testimony, kindness, and love for the Lord left a lasting impact on our church and all who had the privilege of knowing him. While we mourn his passing, we rejoice in the hope and assurance we have in Jesus Christ.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7

Please keep the Reid family in your prayers during this difficult time. May the Lord surround them with His peace, comfort, and strength in the days ahead.

📖 What a wonderful evening of fellowship, fun, and learning at our Bible Trivia Night!

Everyone enjoyed a great mix of easy questions that encouraged participation and challenging questions that tested even the most seasoned Bible students. Along with the friendly competition, we shared plenty of delicious food and enjoyed the special moments of laughter, conversation, and fellowship together.

Participants were divided into teams named after the twelve tribes of Israel, with our seven teams being Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, and Gad. As the competition progressed, the excitement built until the championship round came down to Team Reuben and Team Simeon. After an impressive display of biblical knowledge, Team Simeon claimed the victory and earned the title of Bible Trivia Champions!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the evening such a blessing. We are grateful for the opportunity to fellowship together, grow closer as a church family, and continue learning more about God’s Word. 🙏📖✨

God’s grace rescues us from sin’s penalty, trains us to live zealously for Christ, and continues shaping us until the King comes home.

Grace is far more than God’s favor at salvation—it is also His ongoing work in the life of every believer. Through Christ, we have been redeemed and are being transformed to reject ungodliness, pursue righteousness, and live with eager expectation for His return. God’s grace not only saves us; it teaches us how to live for His glory each day.
