Inner Peace Baptist Church was organized on June 4, 2006 by Dr. Carlton L. Burford.

Though we are a young Church, we are full of praise, spirit and enthusiasm as we worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and share the good news of salvation to the world. ABOUT THE PASTOR

In November 1978, Pastor Burford was called by God into the gospel ministry and attended Midwestern Baptist College in Pontiac, Michigan and in 1999 received an honorary doctorate of divinity degree from the

Great Commission Bible College and Theological University located in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Pastor Burford has been in the pastoral ministry for over 21 years and is currently the founder and pastor of the Inner Peace Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. As a pastor, he has developed and conducted various seminars in the following areas:

· A verse-by-verse study of the Book of Revelation

· “The Difference Between Men and Women, Appreciating the Differences” In this seminar the differences were examined from a theological, physical, neurological, physiological, social and ecclesiological perspective.

· Marriage Seminars

· Church Leadership

· An In-depth Analysis of the Black Presence in the Bible

· The Bible –vs- Science

Additionally, he has written and published a book entitled, “He Died On Wednesday” which provides a Biblical, systematic and analytical approach to the day that Jesus died for the sins of the world. Pastor Burford believes that the Bible is the Word of God and is fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts. He believes that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons (The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit) and that Jesus Christ is God's only begotten Son who was conceived by the Holy Spirit thru a virgin birth.
