Welcome to Ivy Memorial Baptist Church!

We’re glad you’re worshiping with us today.

Today’s message is “Hogs & Tombs” from Mark 5:1–20.

In one of the most powerful encounters in the Gospel of Mark, Jesus steps into a place marked by darkness, uncleanness, chaos, and despair—and brings complete restoration.

This passage reminds us:
• No place is too dark for Christ
• No life is too broken for His power
• No one is beyond the reach of His grace

Where others kept their distance, Jesus stepped into the mess and changed everything.

We pray today’s worship and message encourages you and points you to the hope we have in Jesus.

Thanks for joining us! Say hello in the comments and let us know you’re watching. We’d love to pray for you today.

Hogs & Tombs // Mark 5:1–20

Jesus stepped into a place everyone else avoided—tombs, chains, uncleanness, and chaos—and brought complete restoration.

No darkness is too deep.
No mess is too far gone.
No life is beyond the authority of Christ.

Join us Sunday as we open Mark 5 and see how Jesus still steps into broken places and brings freedom, healing, and hope.

This is Ivy: “Live Out the Hope of the Gospel Together”

The Gospel is not just something we hear.
It’s something we live.

Hope changes how we worship.
How we serve.
How we forgive.
How we walk through hard seasons together.

Nobody was meant to follow Jesus alone.

This is Ivy: “Love People”

Loving people looks like showing up.
A handshake at the door.
A prayer before surgery.
A meal after loss.
A conversation after service that lasts longer than planned.

Church is more than a building.
It’s people caring for people.

This is Ivy: “Love God”

Loving God is more than a Sunday habit.
It’s worship in the middle of hard weeks.
It’s trusting Him when life feels uncertain.
It’s opening His Word even when we need encouragement ourselves.

At Ivy, we want to be people who genuinely love God first.

Sunday Sermon Recap 🎥🌊

Peace is not the absence of storms — it is the presence of Jesus in the middle of them.

The disciples thought they were sinking, but they forgot salvation was already in the boat.

Maybe life feels chaotic right now. Maybe fear has been louder than faith. But the same Jesus who spoke, “Peace, be still,” over the raging sea still speaks peace over troubled hearts today.

“The storm may shake you, but it cannot separate you from Him.”

Still thinking about yesterday… what a worship service. 🎹❤️

Hearing El Roy play while our Ivy family laughed, talked, and lingered together just felt special. Grateful for good gospel music, sweet fellowship, and yes… still full from the fried chicken. 🍗

Sundays like that remind you church is more than a service — it’s family.
