We’re starting a brand-new sermon series this Sunday called “Corinthians: Called To Be Different.”

In a culture that constantly pulls us toward compromise, comfort, and blending in, the call of Jesus is still the same: follow Me.

As we walk through Corinthians, we’re going to let God’s Word confront the places where our lives look more like the world than Christ and ask an honest question: How much of the world am I willing to give up to follow Jesus? This series is an invitation to surrender deeper, live holy, and remember that we haven’t been called to fit in—we’ve been called to be different.

What does it look like to stand firm when everything around you is shaking???

In our final message through Philippians, we were reminded that true contentment is found in Christ alone -- and that we cannot control what happens around us, but in Christ, we can remain steady within us.

Paul gives us five practical ways to stand firm: fight for unity, choose joy, let Christ control your response, turn anxiety into prayer, and guard your thoughts. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us that when we bring everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving, the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and minds.

If you missed it, please go back and watch! This message is for anyone feeling the pressure of life pressing in on you. The enemy wants you to step outside of Christ -- do not give him that territory.

What a great time it was to gather the newcomers of We Are Church and share our vision, mission, values, beliefs and testimonies!! 🙌🏼👏🏼🙏🏼

This meeting happens every other month and is purely to make a new building feel more like home. In order to do that, we sit down together and have open dialogue with Pastor David and answer questions anyone has for him.

Tomorrow at our 8:30a + 10:30a services, we are celebrating baptisms! 🌊

Baptism is one of the most beautiful steps of obedience in the life of a believer. It is an outward declaration of an inward transformation — a public testimony that Jesus has saved us, made us new, and that our old life has been buried with Him.

When we go down into the water, we identify with the death and burial of Jesus. When we come up out of the water, we identify with His resurrection and the new life we now have in Him. Baptism doesn’t save us — Jesus does. But baptism is how we boldly declare, “I belong to Christ. The old me is gone. I have been raised to walk in newness of life.”

Scripture shows us that baptism follows faith and repentance. In Acts 2:38, Peter tells the people to repent and be baptized. In Acts 8, after the Ethiopian man believed the gospel, he was baptized right away. Throughout the New Testament, we see this pattern: people hear the gospel, respond in faith, and then take the step of baptism.

So if you’ve put your faith in Jesus and have not yet been baptized, tomorrow is your opportunity. Don’t wait to take the next step in your walk with Christ.
