This morning, Hands On Nashville honored our dear friend by announcing The Alice Strobel Eadler Internship Fund.
Alice is our Board Member and sister of Charles Strobel, our founding director, but she is so much more than that to everyone in our community.
To our participants, Alice is the helping hand that wraps their children's Christmas presents each year. She is the quiet voice of support remembering every concern and checking on our residents when she joins them for dinner. She is a guiding star of servant leadership for our team, the shining example of Charlie's favorite honorific - a "worthless servant" - in the mold of her mama, Mary Catherine, Aunt Mollie, and Aunt Kate.
Alice is so deserving of this honor precisely because she would never have asked for it. We are so glad that this internship will ensure that her example of quiet, selfless service continues to make a difference in Nashville for years to come.
