Sometime this week, sit with Jesus and just let him in. Let him into the part of life you’ve been managing so you think other people can approve you.

He already knows, and he’s not shocked by any of it. A good tree bears good fruit because of what it is, not because it tried harder. He makes you his, and change grows from being known by him.

Jesus said you’ll know a tree by its fruit. Fruit isn’t something a tree tries to do, but it comes from the inside. So before tomorrow ask yourself: What grew out of my life this week? Was I more focused on what others could see, or on the work God is doing in me? A good tree doesn’t fake fruit. And we don’t become that good tree by trying harder. We become it by knowing Jesus, and being known by Him.

Before you walk in on a Sunday morning, our team is already praying two things for you:

1. That you’d experience God.
2. That you’d experience real, genuine people.

Some of us are carrying a prayer we quietly stopped praying.
Not because we stopped believing. But because we asked… and the answer still hasn’t come.

The marriage is still hard.
The relationship is still broken.
The healing still hasn’t happened.

Jesus has something to say about whatever it may be for you.

This Sunday we’re looking at Matthew 7 and the prayer you stopped praying, but also the Father who never stopped listening.
No matter where you are in your faith, we’d love to have you join this week as we continue to go through Jesus’ Sermon on the Mt.

The log Jesus talks about isn’t just any sin but it’s the judgment you carry.

In other words, the log Jesus is talking about in Matthew 7 is not a sin you have but it’s the belief that you don’t have one.

And it doesn’t ever feel like a log.
It feels like clarity.
It feels like being right.
It feels like you’re the one qualified to hand out mercy… while God’s grace is only for the mess “over there.”

Every other sin eventually drives you toward Jesus.
But this one, self-righteous judgment, closes your hands and keeps you from Him.
