Calling all middle schoolers (just completed grades 5, 6, 7, or 8)! Join us THIS Friday, June 19 for an afternoon zip-lining and climbing in the trees. If you are participating in this week's middle school service week, you are already signed up for this; if you are NOT participating in the middle school service week but just want to meet us at the Adventure Park to climb, please contact Director of Youth Ministries Emily Berry at [email protected] to get the signup link. Christ Church Cathedral is once again serving as a collection site for the annual Ms. Cheap T-shirt and Coat Drive benefiting Room in the Inn. From June 15 through July 3, we invite you to donate clean T-shirts and coats which will go to individuals served by Room in the Inn. RITI especially welcomes larger sizes, and T-shirts may be plain or with appropriate designs/artwork. Donations can be dropped off in the Baptistry on Sunday mornings or anytime during regular business hours, and will help provide fresh clothing during the summer months and warm outerwear when winter arrives. This week's BreakingBread@6 Sunday evening service will be a Taizé service with contemplative music, meditation, silence and prayer. Taizé is a worship style characterized by repeated chants and songs. We are offering Taizé at BB@6 on the second Sunday of each month this year, so please join us (furry friends on leashes welcome, too 🐶)!

Cathedral clergy, staff and youth made a pilgrimage last week to our partner organization in Bolivia, , which serves low-income Bolivian children and families in need. We spent time supporting their ongoing work in the community, having fun, and visiting important local landmarks. We're so thankful for Amistad Mission's ongoing partnership and the privilege of serving alongside them!

This past Saturday at Christ Church Cathedral Bishop Bauerschmidt ordained John Ajith and Peter Mangok from our South Sudanese congregation at St. Bartholomew's, Nashville to the transitional diaconate. John and Peter will be eligible to be ordained into the priesthood after 6 months as transitional deacons. Congratulations Deacon John and Deacon Peter!

Due to the poor weather we had to make a last minute pivot to last Sunday's parish picnic and move it back to the Cathedral, but we still had an amazing time of food, fellowship, and fun! 🦖

PICNIC LOCATION CHANGE: Due to the threat of rain and storms, we have decided to move Sunday’s annual parish picnic from Centennial Park back to the Cathedral. We will still gather for one service at 10:00 AM and enjoy a catered lunch in Lancaster Hall after. While we’ll miss gathering in the outdoors, we hope you’ll still join us for a time of worship, fellowship, fun, and good food!

This week's annual Vacation Bible School was a huge hit with young and old alike—we had 40 kids and 24 adult volunteer leaders! This year's theme was "Find Your Strength in God," and children got to spend four afternoons playing, crafting, singing, and learning more about the Bible and our Episcopal tradition. Thanks to every parent and volunteer who came together to make this year's VBS the best one yet—we're already looking forward to next summer! ☀📖
