Honoring a Hero, Embracing the Hope

Today, The Summit Church Nashville family—in Nashville, Lebanon, and Lawrenceburg—joins together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a man whose courage changed the course of history and whose vision continues to illuminate our path forward.

Dr. King taught us that the power of the Gospel is not confined to Sunday mornings but must overflow into Monday's struggles, Tuesday's challenges, and every moment where injustice seeks to take root. He showed us that真 faith demands action, that hope requires courage, and that love—real, sacrificial love—can move mountains of hatred and prejudice.

His message was clear: we are stronger together than apart, more powerful in unity than division, and most Christ-like when we extend grace to those who differ from us. He challenged the church to be the moral conscience of society, and that challenge echoes through the decades to where we stand today.

As Summit Church communities across Middle Tennessee, we commit to honoring Dr. King's legacy not just with words, but through our actions—by welcoming all people, by serving the marginalized, by pursuing justice with humility, and by building authentic relationships that reflect the heart of heaven.

What are you hiding? What mask has been keeping you ‘safe’, but also keeping you small? In 2026, we’re committing to a journey of radical authenticity. It takes courage to remove the masks we wear—the masks of perfection, strength, or being "fine"—and embrace the real, whole, and beautiful women we are.

It's time to let go of what holds us back. It's time to embrace the honest, messy, and beautiful journey of growth. 🕊️ SELAH | We're Pressing Pause with Purpose🕊️

The Summit Church Nashville (ALL LOCATIONS) has officially entered our SELAH for the remainder of 2025!

What is SELAH?
It's a Hebrew word found throughout the Psalms meaning "to pause, reflect, and worship." It's that sacred moment when we stop the noise, catch our breath, and meditate on what God has done. Think of it as a divine intermission—a holy reset button! 🔄✨

Why now?
2025 has been EVENTFUL, y'all! God has shown up and shown OUT—blessing us beyond our wildest imagination! But even in seasons of favor, we need moments to:
📖 Reflect on His faithfulness
🙏🏾 Recharge our spiritual batteries
💭 Prepare our hearts for what's NEXT

What's next?

Your intentionality doesn't just guide us; it transforms us. Your caring spirit doesn't just comfort us; it empowers us. Your unwavering commitment to helping us reach our God-given potential doesn't just inspire us; it changes our lives forever.

You don't just preach about God's heart—you LIVE it, breathe it, and share it with such authenticity that we can't help but be drawn closer to our Creator.
