What prayer format or guideline do you like for prayer??
I use ACTS -
Adoration (praising God for who He is - His attributes),
Confession (agreeing with God for what I've done) Thanksgiving ( thanking God for what He's done, or is doing), Supplication (asking God for my needs)

URGENT PRAYER REQUST
Tennessee made national news yesterday when four same-sex couples legally married in other states filed a lawsuit challenging Tennessee's law that prohibits recognition of their marriages. The lawsuit was filed in federal district court in Nashville. It argues that Tennessee's laws violate the federal Constitution's guarantees of equal protection and due process.

We trust not in our own ability to pray, but trust in Him who guides our prayers and is able to do all that we ask. E.M. Bounds said, “The faith which creates powerful praying is the faith which centers itself on a powerful Person. Faith in Christ’s ability to do and to do greatly, is the faith which prays greatly.” So as you pray this week, focus not on your own strength or ability to pray, but on God – who He is as described in scripture and what He has so powerfully done, and the many precious promises to us who believe.

Please PRAY now for those affected in Harrisburg, IL by the deadly tornadoes!
13 dead and over 300 homes damaged.
PRAY for the families. PRAY for the disaster relief teams from Red Cross and the "faith based" Christian disaster relief groups who minister to the whole needs - spiritual, emational and physical. PRAY for the Salvation Army, Hopeforce International and many others! THANK YOU for stopping now to pray.

I like the A.C.T.S. guide for prayer! (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving & Supplication). Adoration or Praise to God for who He is ... Pure, Holy, Blameless, etc. is the most challenging area for me. I want to jump to Thanksgiving and also skip confession and jump to Supplication - listing and asking for my requests. Lord help me learn to praise you. Teach me to meditate on your qualities and attributes - show me how to praise you more.
