👉🏻 Please join us! "Lord, I do believe… Help my unbelief!" is a quote from the Bible's Mark 9 by a desperate parent seeking healing for his child. A child who was physically sick with something that Jesus Himself said had an ominously spiritual root that needed dealing with before healing could happen (and it did). Join us at the Pavilion beside the Old Hickory Community Center tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30-7-45pm as we discuss such trials in life that manifest physically but have spiritual and even diabolical roots that we must let God lovingly deal with before it's too late--as evidenced in the national conversation currently happening about a mother on trial for triple murder due to legit "mental illness." 👉🏻Is it more compassionate to diagnose and medicate (potentially over-medicating) or to ALSO go deeper and address spiritual origins with prayer? Matthew 16:24 describes the cost of discipleship for every believer. It starts by coming to Jesus when He calls, followed by denying yourself, then taking up your cross, and then walking in a direction that is, more than likely, diametrically opposed to the direction you want to go! So why do people want to follow Jesus? Because the rewards in this life, and in the life to come, far outweigh the opportunity costs!
