Shine & Serve was a huge success!
Brandon shared a message about how important it is to shine your light and to serve others around you.
Then we split into groups for our service projects. The girls baked cookies and took them to local first responders. They even got to go down the super cool firefighter slide!
The boys worked super hard and replaced w**d barrier, border, and added more mulch to our playground. It looks incredible!
Then we all had a picnic and got to practice our disc golf swing.
We are so proud of how hard these kids worked yesterday and I know they went home tired!
I also want to say thank you to all the volunteers that brought food for these kiddos and for the Mann’s for opening up their home so we can bake all those cookies. Also thank you to Mrs. LeeAnn for singing with me and Brandon during our worship songs. Finally, thank you to all the parents that brought their kids. I know it’s hard to get them here with every thing that goes on in May, but we sure do appreciate seeing them. This wouldn’t have been near as special without everyone that pitched in!
