Discovery Weekend is a spiritual formation retreat held in the local church to help middle school youth experience God's love, empower high school youth to become leaders, and engage every generation in life-changing ministry. The weekend retreat is a life-changing opportunity for a faith community to surround their middle school youth with God’s love as they worship, play, learn, and pray togethe

r. Melody Traylor started the program as an outgrowth of her experience with Emmaus and the Academy for Spiritual Formation sponsored by The Upper Room. In 2017, The Upper Room became the new home for Discovery Weekend where it has continued to be refined and introduced to a broader spectrum of churches. Now, as the featured ministry of N2Discovery, Inc., Discovery Weekend will continue to evolve. Stephen Bryant, The Upper Room publisher says:

“We in The Upper Room see this new season of Discovery Weekend as an opportunity to build on the initial work of Melody Traylor and the developmental investment of the Upper Room over the past three years. I am confident that this next step is the best way forward for helping more churches to reach more middle schoolers with this wonderful way of discovering God’s love.”
