ChasingNehemiah The reflections of a worshipper on a journey.

Who is this for today?

You’ve been under a lot of strain and pain recently. You’re at your breaking point. You feel like you’ve been knocked down for different reasons and in different situations and you’re at the end of yourself.

The Lord doesn’t introduce pain without bringing deliverance from it. And what he is changing in and through you, through this pain, is going to be only for good in your life. You may not be able to see it because of where you’re at and that’s okay. But God does, and He acts for our good even when we don’t see it because HE IS FAITHFUL. He won’t bring you into this season of pain and weariness without having a purpose for it and a redemption through it. He is a faithful God.

Keep pushing through no matter how much it hurts and cry as much as you need to. There WILL BE an “other side” of this place you’re in.

Be blessed today, beloved.

The Lion Who reigns is the Lamb Who was slain.

The crown of thorns, a reminder that Jesus willingly stepped into suffering. The empty cross and open tomb declare that sin and death did not win. The debt is paid, my sin bought with His precious blood.

As Scripture says, “It is finished” (John 19:30), and because of that, the stone was rolled away and Hope walked out alive—“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said” (Matthew 28:6).

Jesus the Christ, Son of God Most High, ruling, omnipotent King forever to be praised. He came to rescue us from ourselves, from a sin debt we could not pay to a righteous, good, holy God. Jesus in His death and resurrection is a reminder that no matter how broken things get, there is hope, there can be redemption and victory, and there is a King who loved us so deeply that He conquered the grave so we could truly live.

Rescuer

You never stop running after me. Your love broke open the way to the promises you’ve made. Every one of them are faithful and true. Now I see the light that everyone said was at the end of this tunnel and it floods my soul with wonder. You’ve come just as you said you would. Your love found me buried beneath the dust of my own fears and you lifted me up in a hurricane of grace.

The storms that were meant to take me out thundered your voice when you called my name. You breathed life into me again. Now I’m dancing through the desert to get to the Promised Land.

My tears of thankfulness and joy become more than sweet release, they become a gift of worship. I will embrace them, the same way I cradled the tears of pain. Let them wash my soul and bring you delight. Thank you for all you’ve done. You are my Rescuer.”

Franklin Graham and Greg Laurie are, together, calling for a national time of prayer today at 11CST. They are asking believers to pray over the country forgiveness for the apostasy, for repentance and restoration. They are asking God for the healing of the Republic, an end to the weaponized violence against law enforcement and a return to Godly values.

If you have time today I’d encourage you to set a reminder and join in the prayer. In the book of James it says that the fervent prayer of a righteous person will accomplish much. We know that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus therefore that righteousness is not based on our own humanity, but on Jesus’ character, and therefore we can approach the throne of God boldly. Be bold and pray for the soul of this nation to be restored.
