Nashville’s 2026 Point-in-Time Count gives us important information about homelessness in our community and important context about the broader trend.

From 2022–2025, Nashville’s PIT Count increased 13.8%, compared with a 28% increase nationally and a 36.1% average increase among selected comparison communities.

The data show that Nashville has experienced greater stability while homelessness has increased significantly across the country. The work continues as we use this information to strengthen housing, outreach, shelter and supportive services across our community.
