It was an honor to moderate a conversation with Robin Williams Sr., Karen Moore and Milik Kashad about the international impact of this incredible woman after the film! (Beside us is one of Marion's gorgeous jackets and her Kennedy Center Medallion).

If you're in the Nashville area on Friday afternoon/evening, be sure to join us at National Museum of African American Music for a screening of The Legendary Marion Williams Film which will be followed by a panel discussion that I'll be moderating in conversation with Robin Williams Sr., son of the Marion Williams and one of the film's producers, Karen Moore, also one of the film's producers, and Milik Kashad, founder of the Black Music Archive about the film and the international impact of Marion Williams' sound and style. There is a reception at 5:00 PM, screening at 6 PM and panel discussion following the screening!

I'm incredibly excited for Sunday's My Soul Looks Back Nashville Gospel Honors, produced by the Nashville Gospel and Sacred Music Coalition. They will be paying tribute to the late Johnny Whittaker & The Twenty-First Century Singers (Larry Miller, Robin Grace, Everett Drake Frankie Henry and the late Lula Jordan), a group vital to Nashville's incredible gospel scene and sound. I've been writing and documenting their story for a number of years now and I'm so grateful to be included in this tribute (Thank you Byron Harvey, Kellee Halford and Patrick Dailey)! If you're in Nashville on Sunday, come on down to Downtown Presbyterian Church at 154 Rep John Lewis Way at 6:30 PM.
