Venerable Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche is urgently requesting the International PBC Sangha to accumulate the Dusum Sangye Prayer of Guru Rinpoche and the mantra of Buddha Amitayus to remove everyone's obstacles, actualize more peace and harmony in the world, fulfill our highest bodhichitta aspirations, and swiftly bring all beings to enlightenment.

Learn more and add your accumulations here:

All the great masters of Tibetan Buddhism have said that Guru Padmasambhava is the Buddha of the Degenerate Age. During this present time, he is the sole protector and refuge for all sentient beings. When we connect to Guru Rinpoche, we’re connecting to all enlightened beings throughout space and time.

The Dusum Sangye Prayer unites devotion, bodhichitta, and Dzogchen meditation in the form of a Guru Yoga practice on Guru Padmasambhava. Absolute Guru Padmasambhava is the innate nature of all sentient beings.

Buddha Amitayus is a buddha of longevity and vitality. Amitayus embodies the wisdom and compassion of all the buddhas and is inseparable from Buddha Amitabha and Guru Padmasambhava.

So grateful for the depth and the laughter in our time with Lama Jinpa during Foundations of Tibetan Buddhism.

In this week’s session unpacking the Satipatthana Sutta, he brought such clarity to the meaning behind the words themselves.

Sati (Sanskrit: smṛti) — remembrance, recollection, the capacity to hold experience in awareness.
Paṭṭhāna (Sanskrit: upasthāna) — establishment, presence, placing the mind firmly.

Not just “mindfulness” as a buzzword, but the establishing of remembrance — returning again and again to direct experience with steadiness and care.

What makes these sessions so special is how seamlessly he weaves sharp scholarship with a contagious sense of humor. We’re laughing one moment and then suddenly seeing our own minds more clearly the next.

Grateful for teachings that are both deeply informed and joyfully alive. May this practice benefit the temple and all beings.

So grateful to announce the winners of our raffle at Padmasambhava Buddhist Temple Nashville.

More than anything, we’re just so happy for the time we were able to share together as sangha laughter, connection, and the simple joy of gathering with a shared intention. Moments like these remind us that community itself is a profound offering.

May the merit from this raffle support the temple’s continued activity and benefit all beings everywhere.
Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and showed up with open hearts.

During the first 2 weeks of the Tibetan New Year, it is celebrated that the Buddha displayed a miracle each day to increase the merit and devotion of us his future disciples. During this time, the benefit of one’s actions is multiplied by 100,000 fold.

The Miracle Month culminates on Chotrul Duchen: the Day of Miracles. On this full moon day, the effect of one’s actions is multiplied 10 million times. This is truly a most auspicious day for practice.

"May we become more grateful for everything.
May we learn instant forgiveness.
May we never forget precious friends.
May we become more skillful in actually causing the happiness of others.
May we never lose sight of the Holy Dharma.
May Sangha become one."

Join us for Foundations of Tibetan Buddhism with Lama Jinpa this Sunday.
March 1, 2026 9:30 – 11:00 AM

This week we’ll explore The Four Foundations of Mindfulness through one of the most cited teachings on mindfulness: the Satipaṭṭhāna Sutra. In this profound discourse, Gautama Buddha (Śākyamuni Buddha) clearly lays the groundwork for establishing mindful awareness within meditation practice.

Together we’ll look at how mindfulness of body, feelings, mind, and phenomena becomes the foundation for insight and awakening.

Whether you’re brand new to practice or deepening your path, this teaching offers timeless guidance for cultivating steady presence and clear seeing.
All are welcome.

Deep gratitude to our sangha for coming together to celebrate Gutor with Lama Laia Pema Tsultrim.

Gutor is a traditional Vajrayana purification practice observed just before Losar (Tibetan New Year). It’s a time to acknowledge obstacles, release accumulated negativity, and symbolically clear the path for the year ahead — not by rejecting what arises, but by meeting it with awareness and compassion.

Practicing together as a community made the ritual feel especially powerful. Mantra, intention, and shared presence turned the evening into a reminder that purification isn’t about perfection — it’s about letting go, again and again.
*
May whatever was released benefit all beings, and may the new year begin with clarity, courage, and open hearts.
