This week at At The Movies, we're diving into a story about finding your people and discovering that what makes you different is actually your greatest strength. It's a message that feels a lot like that first Pentecost, when a group of unlikely people were empowered to do the extraordinary.

No script and no auditions, just a seat waiting for you. Come see how the story ends, or rather, how it really begins.

This Sunday, we’re heading beyond the horizon to explore a love that isn't just a feeling—it’s a force. A love that transcends time, space, and even the deepest gravity of our lives. 🌌

Whether you’re a sci-fi fan or just looking for a community that isn't afraid to ask big, "out of this world" questions, there’s a seat saved for you.

If "just stay positive" feels like an insult right now, you aren't alone.

Optimism often feels like a luxury we can't afford. It asks us to sit back and wait for things to magically get better. But hope is different. Hope is a tactic. It is a tool for the trenches.

At Hillsboro Presbyterian, we believe hope is the rebellious act of staying in the room when everyone else has walked away. It's looking at the heavy anxieties of our modern world and deciding that the story isn't over yet. We don't have to be experts to light a candle in the dark. We just have to be present.

Are you looking for a community that chooses action over platitudes? Join the conversation Sunday mornings at 10am.

It's comfortable to keep our faith in our heads, but a love that stays in our thoughts doesn’t change our Nashville neighborhoods. Following Jesus means moving our love into motion.

It looks like the quiet humility of showing up for a neighbor. It looks like the persistence required to stand with those our systems often forget. Whether we are supporting our 20+ local nonprofit partners or simply holding space for a friend in a heavy season, we believe hope is a choice we practice together.

We aren't interested in perfect answers. We are interested in being a living, breathing example of grace.

Our community is safe, inclusive, and open to your questions. Learn more at the link in our bio.

Something is Bubbling Up... 🎈☁️

Ever feel like the walls are closing in, or like you’re working overtime to protect a life that feels a little too heavy to carry? 🏠

This Sunday, we’re continuing our "At The Movies" series by looking at a story about a house, a high-flying adventure, and the "misfit" family we find along the way. We’ll be exploring how God’s house isn't a fortress to be guarded, but an expansive, open space where there is always room for one more—no matter how many "balloons" it takes to get there.

We’re a community that welcomes all persons, embraces the difficult questions, and believes that the best adventures happen when we finally let go.
Catch the "Flight" this Sunday:
Time: 10:00 AM
Location: 5820 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville

Can you guess this classic film from just 8 emojis? 🎬

This Sunday at Hillsboro, we’re continuing our At The Movies series by stepping inside the walls of Shawshank. We’ll be exploring the "Aria of Freedom"—that beautiful, defiant song of hope that bypasses the defenses of our minds and reminds us of our inherent dignity.

Whether you’re a cinema buff, a seeker with big questions, or just looking for a community that embraces the "discomfort of new ideas," there is a seat saved for you.

Lace up your shoes. 👟

The road ahead might feel long and the headlines might be heavy. But this week, we are stepping out with a stubborn hope.

Christ is already out there. He is on the tired roads, in the quiet corners, and wherever dignity feels fragile. He is doing what He has always done: taking, blessing, breaking, and giving.

At HPC, we believe this is a world God refuses to give up on. That means we don't give up either. In this story, there are no "experts" required.

Anyone can be the light.
Anyone can change the story.
Anyone can cook. (Yes, really.)
Run toward the world with us. 🏃💨

The clues are on the board, but the secret is in the sauce. 🤫🥣

We’re heading back to the big screen this Sunday for part two of our At The Movies series. This particular story challenges us to look past the surface and find the extraordinary in the "ordinary."

Is it a culinary masterpiece? A travel log? A story of an unlikely friendship? You’ll have to show up to find out.

Pro Tip: Come hungry for a great message (and literal popcorn). 🍿
