GWI is engaging youths in Bukomolo village into tree planting activity. This year, we target to plant 3,000 trees. These trees will mainly be species for timber and firewood.

One of the challenges of the community and its surroundings is limited firewood and this project will be an opportunity for these youths to monopolize this market
On the other hand, this project will be contributing to the environmental conservation as well as an income sustainability project for GWI.

We are acquiring three (3) acres of land for this project.

Will you love to support this particular project, please write to Grace Nakajje (GWI CEO) on [email protected]. Or on her Tel: +256 772 962 719.

Alcohol & drugs are now becoming main habit for youths in Bukomolo community. This habit is leading many youths into committing crime and others becoming mentally sick. In 2019, GWI started a project of Brick Making as part of their rehabilitation and as well to shape them into economically productive people.

Unfortunately, due to Covid19 pandemic outbreak in 2020 & subsequent lockdowns in the country, this project closed.

Since them, most of these youth returned into alcoholism & doing drugs, a thing that is worrying the entire community. Crimes such as child pregnancies, school dropouts, r**e, theft and domestic violence are on the raise in the community and all these are attributed to youths.

Therefore, this year, GWI is reviving this project but integrating it into making yard pavers. We need equipment & start up materials. Budget is USD $1,354.

Will you love to support this project, please write to Grace Nakajje (GWI CEO) on [email protected]. Or her Tel: +256 772 962 719.
