Christ not only teaches us how to live, but also transforms our hearts so that we desire what is good, love what is righteous, and walk in wisdom from the inside out.

Westwood RC Nights – Summer Meetups!

Join us this summer for RC Car Nights in our church parking lot! Bring your RC cars (or just come watch), enjoy a relaxed evening, and let the kids race and play. We’ll have a simple track set up, plus popsicles and water for everyone.

These meetups will take place every other Tuesday throughout the summer.

6:30–8:00pm on: June 2, June 16, July 7, July 21, August 4, August 18

No sign up needed.
All ages are welcome.

🏀 Summer Basketball Camp is back at Westwood!

Kids ages 6–12 are invited to join us June 22–25 (Mon–Thurs), from 6–8 PM, for four evenings of basketball skills, scrimmages, and fun.

Whether your child is new to the game or looking to improve, this camp is for them! Invite a neighbor, classmate, or teammate to join! It’s a great way to make new friends and grow in the game together.

On Sunday, we saw in Hebrews 9 that those who receive the promised inheritance are those whom God has called, not those who figured it out on their own. It points to salvation as the result of God’s initiative through Christ, reinforcing that being in Him comes from His call, not our spiritual perception. This should leave us thankful, humble and confident in God, not in ourselves. ⬇️

Bible Study Recap:
In Daniel 9:1–19, Daniel does not attempt to persuade God to change His mind. Instead, he allows God’s revealed purposes in His word to shape his desires and requests. He grounds his appeal in God’s character rather than in human merit and centers his prayer on God’s glory.

The same grace that justifies also sanctifies. The elementary teachings of Christ are precious and necessary, but they were never meant to be the finish line. Hebrews 6:1–3 calls us to press on to maturity, not beyond the gospel, but deeper into it. By God’s power, we build on the foundation once laid, growing in doctrine, discernment, and obedience.
