The church has a subscription to Sojourners. Recent editions are in the parlor.

A farmer and poet, Berry centered the logic of Sabbath and love of locality into his life and writing.

PDA is starting a new series: at the beginning of each week, we will share a new prayer as we recognize the long-term impacts of natural and human-caused disasters. We invite you to share your specific prayer concerns in the comments, if you feel called, so we may pray together as a community. This week, we lift up those who have lost their homes to wildfires.
Let us pray,
Loving God, we pray that your presence may be near to those who have lost their homes and much of what filled them due to wildfires. Comfort them in their grief and provide for their daily needs. Lead them gently toward a place to settle again. Amen.
