Every day we hear all kinds of news, and perhaps in the face of it all, our hearts are filled with anguish and we ask ourselves: what has happened to love? Perhaps that is the most difficult question to answer in recent times. So much pain, and at the same time, so much indifference to the suffering of others. John wrote to the churches in Asia about this love that is capable of transforming the world. Let’s reflect together on what God is saying to us today! (John 3:16 / 1 John 3:16)

Cada día escuchamos todo tipo de noticias y, tal vez ante todo ello, nuestros corazones se llenan de angustia y nos preguntamos: ¿qué ha sido del amor? Quizás esa sea la pregunta más difícil de responder en los últimos tiempos. Tanto dolor y, al mismo tiempo, tanta indiferencia ante el sufrimiento ajeno. Juan escribió a las iglesias de Asia sobre este amor capaz de transformar el mundo. ¡Reflexionemos juntos sobre lo que Dios nos está diciendo hoy! (Juan 3:16 / 1 Juan 3:16)

Hace 70 años la Iglesia Metodista aprobó la ordenación de las mujeres. Hoy celebramos una verdad aún más antigua: Dios ha estado llamando a mujeres a servir, liderar y proclamar el Evangelio desde los tiempos bíblicos.

Seventy years ago, the Methodist Church approved the ordination of women. Today we celebrate an even older truth: God has been calling women to serve, lead, and proclaim the Gospel since biblical times.

Last week, we shared this post about the acts of vandalism our church has suffered. We are very grateful to everyone who has already made a donation and prayed for us! We are continuing our campaign, so if you are able and willing, please join us in this restoration project. And please, keep praying for us, for the person who committed this act, and for the entire community around us. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

"Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind". God of love,
we live in a time of hatred; we see it on social media, on the television news, and even all around us. But in the midst of so much hatred, we are also able to feel Your love through different people, at different times. Today, God, we ask You to help us feel Your love for us, but also to make us instruments of Your love, wherever we may be. In the name of the One who is love, we pray. Amen.

Dios de amor,
vivimos en una época de odio; lo vemos en las redes sociales, en los informativos de televisión e incluso a nuestro alrededor. Pero en medio de tanto odio, también somos capaces de sentir Tu amor a través de diferentes personas, en diferentes momentos. Hoy, Dios, te pedimos que nos ayudes a sentir Tu amor por nosotros, pero también que nos conviertas en instrumentos de Tu amor, estemos donde estemos.
