ISRAEL MOVES & JEALOUSY FAILS –
Shabbat June 6, 2026, Grace and Truth Sabbath Fellowship Announcements

The Torah portion for this Shabbat is Beha’alotcha בְּהַעֲלֹתְךָ (“When You Set Up”), Numbers 8:1-12:16, facilitated by David Gonzales. David has a special presentation to go with this, bringing a live interview. The chapters go like this:
• Chapter 8 covers the setting up of the menorah—the seven-fold lamps and the cleansing of their Levites, who served in the Tabernacle from age 25 to age 50.
• Chapter 9 institutes a Passover in the second month for those who missed the first month because they were unclean or away on a journey. This is a powerful explanation of the Father’s love and efforts to bring us to Him when we are unable to do what is normally required of us. It also explains the cloud and fire covering the tabernacle by day or night, guiding the Israelites to know when to travel and when to remain camped.
• Chapter 10 gives the trumpet signals used to call assemblies of the leaders and the people—as well as when to travel and stop. Trumpets were also blown when the nation went to war and when we keep the Feasts! The latter half of this chapter documents the cloud lifting and Israel leaving on day 20, month 2, year 2 of the Exodus.
• Chapter 11 contains the sad story of people complaining about the food and upsetting both Yahweh and Moses. But it also has the happy story of the seventy elders appointed to assist Moses, with some of the Spirit of God removed from Moses and placed upon them. Eldad and Medad missed the meeting for some unknown reason, but received the Spirit and prophesied in the camp—making some people jealous. This is a Jonah-like lesson: when the Father has a job for you, He can make you do it, even if you are slacking!
• Chapter 12 is another sad story, but one from which we can learn so much. Miriam and Aaron became jealous of Moses and spoke against him on an irrelevant issue. Yes, this was a family power struggle! Yahweh upheld Moses and gave Miriam leprosy. When Moses and Aaron interceded on her behalf, then Yahweh healed her, but had her spend seven days outside the camp. Lesson 2: When the Father gives a job to somebody else, do not try to take it!

YOUNG PEOPLE's MEETING 6/13/2026, 4:00 PM.
Seek Many Advisers for Good Relationships

“Plans fail when there is no counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. A person takes joy in giving an answer; and a timely word—how good that is!” (Proverbs 15:22–23 Christian Standard Bible 2017)

The teaching his week will be on finding help for relationships: basic friendships as well as that special someone to last a lifetime. Many people let their relationships “just happen” – spending time in whatever way comes easy or is enjoyable for the moment. But as we grow older, and more independent of our parents and family, choosing good friends is critical to our success and spiritual well-being.

It seems sensible to talk to others who know things that we do not. So how do we choose our advisers? If we seek out only people whom we think will agree with us, we might as well do it on our own! We want to talk to people with knowledge of value, and who are willing to tell us, even if they might disagree with us. When we are considering a new friend, knowledge of three types is helpful:
1. knowledge about the potential new friend
2. knowledge about you (we do not always see ourselves as we are)
3. long-term wisdom on relationships in general (even if the advisor is not well acquainted with you or your potential friend)

There are many Scriptures that tell us what types of people we should seek as advisors. We will summarize some of the best lessons. Nobody is perfect. But some are much more likely to be good advisers than others.
1. Parents
2. Elders or other congregational leaders
3. Couples who have been happily married for decades
4. Loving people who have many friends
5. Our teachers, employers, managers, etc.
6. Our closest friends
7. Political or business leaders
8. God. (How do we ask God? Attend to find out!)

“The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10 Names of God Bible)

Our meeting will also have a good dinner and a fun activity—information will be provided next week after a closer look at the weather forecast.

Shabbat 5/30/26 Grace and Truth Sabbath Fellowship Announcements and Rico Cortez Friday evening, June 5.

Shabbat, May 30, 12:00 Noon
We are one Torah portion ahead right now, so Norman Edwards will show that the six elementary doctrines of Messiah in Hebrews 6:1-2 are the elementary doctrines of the Old Testament, the New Testament and also the book of Revelation for the future. Most Christians and Jews do not understand this well. We need to understand it so we teach it to our young people and so we can all better understand and help Jews and Christians alike. Come with your questions!

Rico Cortes in Goodlettsville June 5
Well known Messianic teacher Rico Cortes, of Wisdom in Torah Ministries, will be speaking Friday evening, 6:00PM, June 5th, at Mosaic Life Fellowship, 121 East Ave., Goodlettsville, TN 37072. His message will be on the book of Leviticus, Hebrews and Atonement in the Bible. You are invited to attend. Please bring biblically clean food to share with the brethren.

MAY 24 SHAVUOT CELEBRATION IS A BLESSING TO ALL.

Pentecost in the park went well for all who attended. The weather was wonderful. A four-piece worship team filled the pavilion with lively praise as many brethren joined in with singing and rhythm instruments. The first teaching from David Gonzales was on the 10 Commandments, which were read aloud to with the blowing of the shofar and hearty shouts of “amen” from the assembly. The second teaching was on Acts 2 & 4, explaining how and why the spirit was poured out then and what the Scripture says about asking for it to be poured out now. Lunch was a great mix of hot and cold entrees, with two big leavened loaves, drinks and dessert. While the older people sat and talked, the teens and young adults volunteered to supervise the smaller children at the play areas. See pictures at end.

GTSF Shavuot Celebration Sunday May 24 at Noon

GTSF will hold a Pentecost meeting on Sunday, May 24, at Aspen Grove Park, 3200 Aspen Grove Dr, Franklin, TN 37067 at 12:00 Noon. Come for inspiring worship, and teaching on how to pray to be filled with the Spirit. This is a Franklin City Park with a nice covered shelter and lots of picnic tables. Bring from festive food for the group meal at 2:00 pm. The shelter will protect us from light rain, but check your email or the GTSF page for severe weather closures.

Shabbat, May 23, 12:00 Noon.

The Torah portion for this Shabbat is Nasso נָשֹׂא (“Lift up” or “Take a Census”), Numbers 4:21-7:89, facilitated by Norman Edwards and David Gonzales. Widely varying subjects are covered in detail in this portion:
• Chapter 4:21-49 is the census of the Levites, taken separately and differently from the census of the men of Israel in Numbers 1. Each of the sub-tribes of Levi, descendants of his sons Gershon, Kohath, and Merari, are totaled separately.
• Chapter 5:1-4 explains uncleanness requiring temporary removal from the camp.
• Chapter 5:5-10 covers restitution when one person has sinned against another.
• Chapter 5:11-31 has a procedure to follow to end suspicion when a husband thinks his wife is cheating on him. Either she will miraculously be shown to be guilty by our heavenly Father, or her husband must accept that she is innocent.
• Chapter 6:1-21 is the main Scripture on the Nazarite vow—a voluntary vow to refrain from all grape products, alcohol, haircuts and dead bodies for a period of time, until the vow is ended.
• Chapter 6:22-27 is the institution of the Aaronic Blessing which we know and love! From the CSB: “May the LORD bless you and protect you; may the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the LORD look with favor on you and give you peace.”
• Chapter 7 tallies the offerings given by the princes of each of the 12 tribes of Israel. Each prince’s offer was the same: “His offering was one silver dish weighing 3-3⁄4 pounds and one silver basin weighing 1-1⁄4 pounds, measured by the standard sanctuary shekel, both of them full of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering; one gold bowl weighing four ounces, full of incense; one young bull, one ram, and one male lamb a year old, for a burnt offering; one male goat for a sin offering; and two bulls, five rams, five male goats, and five male lambs a year old, for the fellowship sacrifice.” (Num. 7:13–17 CSB17)

Monthly Kiddush
As we just passed another New Moon, we will share bread and wine. The Scriptures says, “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. (1Cor 11:26 TLV). The only other place this exact Greek expression appears is Revelation 11:6 where the “two witnesses” can “strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.” Since there is not specific frequency commanded in either of these two scriptures, our congregation has chosen once per month on the first Sabbath on or after a full moon.

Special Presentation "Stop the Bleed"

After our group lunch this Sabbath (about 3:00 PM), we will have a special presentation, Stop the Bleed, by Chuck, a long-time Torah teacher and friend of David Gonzales. Come to learn basic steps that make the difference between life and death in emergency situations. Yeshua honored these skills and the willingness to use them in the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37).

We will not have a women’s meeting this month. The next one will be June 27, 2026.

Torah portion: TWELVE TRIBES CENSUS.
"LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR" Sums up Torah.

Shabbat 5/16/26 Grace and Truth Sabbath Fellowship Announcements

This Shabbat’s Torah portion is Bamidbar בְּמִדְבַּר (“In the Wilderness”), Numbers 1-4, facilitated by David Gonzales. This section shows that our Father in heaven is a Master of large-scale human organization.

• Chapter 1 is the census taken of the men in Israel, 20 years and older, able to serve in the army. It gives the names of the leader from each tribe that assisted Moses in the census.

• Chapter 2 explains the organization of the camps on the four sides of the tabernacle:
◦ 186,400 from Judah, Issachar and Zebulun on the East side. (Leah’s 4th, 5th & 6th sons.)
◦ 151,450 from Reuben, Simeon and Gad on the South side. (Leash’s 1st & 2nd sons, Leah’s maid Zilpah’s 1st son.)
◦ Levites, not numbered in this census, were in the middle of the camp.
◦ 108,100 from Ephraim, Manasseh and Benjamin on the West side. (Rachel’s two grandsons of her 1st son Joseph and her 2nd son.)
◦ 157,600 from Dan, Naphtali and Asher on the North side. (Rachel’s maid Bilhah’s 1st & 2nd sons and Leah’s maid Zilpah’s 2nd son.)

• Chapter 3 describes the organization of the Levites by their sub-tribes Gershon, Kohath and Merari, and the census of the Levites. It also describes the redemption of the firstborn and the Levites that served in their place.

• Chapter 4 has the census of Kohath and the duties of that sub-tribe.

--------------------------------

“Love Your Neighbor as Yourself” Sums Up Torah is the teaching by Norman Edwards. As Yeshua said: “And the second [commandment] is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire Torah and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” (Matt. 22:39–40 TLV) It sounds simple on the surface, but it is far from that.

• Do you want other people to treat you the way they want to be treated? Or do you want them to treat you the way you want to be treated? It is probably the latter! In order to fulfill this commandment, we need the Spirit and wisdom of God to know how to treat each person the way they want to be treated.

• Do we physically have time to do that for every person we meet or know? No! Even Yeshua refused to do some reasonable things for certain people because they were outside of his mission (Luke 12:13-15; Matt 15:21-24; John 6:15; 6:24-36). We can only do so much as our time, our abilities and the spirit allows. There are times we must say “no”. If someone asks use for a million dollars, we don’t give it to them because we do not have it to give, because it is not our mission to provide for them in that way and because it is probably not good for them.

• Kind words, a positive hopeful attitude and truth answers don’t take any longer or cost any more than grumpy, self-centered, or false answers. God has sent us into the world to be lights to all whom encounter—in the way that is best for them. It is a wonderful blessing now to know we are doing His work on a moment by moment basis. And, it prepares us for reigning with Yeshua at His return.

“Eat well” but they never tell you what that is🤷‍♀️ eat more stuff with naturally occurring fungus? IE…fruits and veg? Wait, more grains and bread? ( also susceptible to natural fungus and the biggest group on the food pyramid by the way) surely they wouldn’t tell you to stop eating ALL processed sugar and carbs, which would actually starve the fungus! Why would they do that?🤷‍♀️
Our American diet is bombarded with refined sugar guys-they’ve even found a way to destroy the concept of water with it! Fungus doesn’t thrive because we’re resistant to medicine, it thrives because we feed it! Everytime you eat the cakes, eats the pasta, eat the bread, etc… you are not only eating fungus that is growing on the food you eat but eating it with the source of its primary food at the same time😱 it’s all such a lie! Cut the sugar, cut the carbs, grow you ow fruit and veg if you want to eat that. Be blessed

YEAR of JUBILEE.
Obedience blessings, judgments for sin – Lev 25-27.
Shabbat 5/9/26 Grace and Truth Sabbath Fellowship Announcements

This Shabbat has a double Torah portion, moderated by Norman Edwards:

• Behar בְּהַר (“On the Mountain”), Leviticus 25:1-26:2. These verses explain the need to let the land rest every seventh year—not planting, but eating from the triple abundance the Father sends in the sixth year (v 21). It also explains that the seventh Sabbatical year, the 49th year, is the Jubilee year. A trumpet is to be blown on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, and everyone who has lost their inheritance in that 49 year cycle will receive it back again. This is a vital part of the Father’s economic system which prevents a few families from owning the vast majority of the wealth of a nation. The lack of observing this law has created the vast economic disparities that exist in nearly all countries now. The average young person today, even with a college education, takes much longer to find work that will fund an auto, home and spouse.

• Bechukotai בְּחֻקֹּתַי (“In My Statutes”), Leviticus 26:3–27:34:

• Chapter 26:1-13 explains great blessings that will come from obedience to the Torah in many different areas of life.

• Chapter 26:14-39 explains all of the judgments that will come upon Israel for disobedience. Four times, it mentions seven-fold punishments for sins.

• Chapter 26:40-46 comforts Israel by explaining that they can repent at any time, and recover from the punishments that they have received. The Father will remember His covenant with their ancestors.

• Chapter 27 gives rules for funding the sanctuary, laws for vows and dedicated things, tithing and redemption of animals.

Young People’s Activities for 5/9/2026, 4:00 PM — Life Skills & Pickleball

In our previous meeting, the Young Adult discussion was almost completely about the present and/or future jobs of those attending. The response was positive and some asked for more. So as we find experienced fellow believers in various fields, we will bring them in to talk and demonstrate their skills. If possible, we will visit them at their place of work!

We are calling these things “Life Skills” because they can be used for jobs, home businesses, ministries or simply to serve our fellow man. For example, there are more musicians and A/V engineers serving in congregations than in full-time music careers. The time to learn one’s own physical abilities and how to use them is when they are young. One does not want to spend years working at things one does not like and where one is not gifted.

This week, David Gonzales has invited his good friend Chuck to share his experience working in emergency medical care. He will teach a brief class in wound first aid and everyone who wants to can try a simulated version of it themselves. He will share a little of his experience working in law enforcement and the military. (This is not a promotion of military careers. People lose their rights for 8 years when they join the military. 1 Corinthians 7:23 teaches “You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.”)

As usual, our meeting will start a little after 4:00 PM with our young people’s worship band, then followed by the above teaching, dinner and Pickleball, weather permitting. Dinner will be brought to us by the Sepulveda family. This is a great meeting to invite a young person you know, especially one who is interested in medical or law enforcement work.
