Join us in prayer on Day 7 of the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as we approach the USCCB's consecration of the U.S. to the Sacred Heart on June 11.

Let us ask the Sacred Heart of Jesus for strength and increased faith with this prayer by Blessed Miguel Pro, S.J.

I believe, O Lord, but strengthen my faith...
Heart of Jesus, I love Thee; but increase my love.
Heart of Jesus, I trust in Thee; but give greater vigor to my confidence.
Heart of Jesus, I give my heart to Thee; but so enclose it in Thee that it may never be separated from Thee.
Heart of Jesus, I am all Thine; but take care of my promise so that I may be able to put it in practice even unto the complete sacrifice of my life. Amen.

The following is the prayer for Day Seven of the Novena, Heart of Jesus, source of all consolation.

Yesterday, parishes across the Diocese of Nashville brought the Eucharistic Lord into the streets for Corpus Christi processions.

On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the Church gives public witness to what we believe: Jesus Christ is truly present in the Eucharist, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

As the Blessed Sacrament is carried in procession, we follow Him not only inside the walls of our churches, but into the world He came to save. Corpus Christi reminds us that the Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith, the center of the Church’s life, and the gift that sends us out on mission.

Jesus, truly present in the Most Holy Eucharist, draw us closer to Your Sacred Heart.

Join us in prayer on Day 6 of the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as we approach the USCCB's consecration of the U.S. to the Sacred Heart on June 11.

"My Jesus, I love You with my whole heart. I am sorry for having so many times offended Your infinite goodness. With the help of Your grace, I purpose never to offend You again. And now, unworthy though I am, I consecrate myself to You without reserve. I renounce and give entirely to You my will, my affection, my desires, and all that I possess."

The following is the prayer for Day Six of the Novena, Heart of Jesus, atonement for our sins.

After their ordination to the priesthood on Friday, June 12, Deacon James Grossheim, Deacon David Herrera, and Deacon Reed Robinson will each celebrate a First Mass of Thanksgiving.

These Masses are a powerful moment in the life of a new priest and in the life of the Church. After years of formation, prayer, study, and discernment, each man will stand at the altar as a priest of Jesus Christ and offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

Deacon David Herrera will celebrate his First Mass of Thanksgiving at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 12, at Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Church.

Deacon James Grossheim will celebrate his First Mass of Thanksgiving at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Columbia.

Deacon Reed Robinson will celebrate his First Mass of Thanksgiving at noon on Saturday, June 13, at St. Mary of the Seven Sorrows in downtown Nashville.

Please pray for these men as they prepare for priestly ordination, and join the Diocese of Nashville in giving thanks for the gift of new priests for Middle Tennessee.

The Diocese of Nashville's second annual Blue Mass for first responders was a beautiful celebration in honor of those who protect and serve Middle Tennessee.

“Please know my intention for this Mass is for you. We thank God for you,” said Bishop J. Mark Spalding, in part. “Many things that you deal with are quite challenging, difficult, even at times, horrible and terrible, yet you go into this darkness, and you see not the best of humanity. But you go and you serve, and you inspire the rest of us who are so thankful for you."

Police officers, firefighters, paramedics, veterans, and more gathered for the Diocese of Nashville’s second annual Blue Mass for first responders at the Cathedral of the Incarnation.

In just one week, these three men will be ordained priests of Jesus Christ.

Deacon James Grossheim, Deacon David Herrera, and Deacon Reed Robinson will be ordained by Bishop J. Mark Spalding on Friday, June 12, the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, at the Cathedral of the Incarnation.

This is a historic and grace filled moment for the Diocese of Nashville. The Sacred Heart has become a central image for the formation of our seminarians, reminding them to model their lives after the boundless love and mercy of Christ.

Now, these men are preparing to give their lives in service to Christ and His Church as priests for Middle Tennessee.

All are invited to attend the Ordination Mass at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral.

Pray for Deacon James, Deacon David, and Deacon Reed as they prepare for this sacred day.
