For the one who feels like giving up…

When it feels like it’s been too long, too heavy, too quiet…
when you’re tired of waiting and wondering if anything will ever change—

Remember this:

In Scripture, 40 is never the end.
It’s often the middle—
a season of testing, stretching, and preparation before God does something new.

NOAH
It rained for 40 days and 40 nights. The world was covered in water, but the storm didn’t last forever. God remembered Noah, the rain stopped, and a new beginning came.

MOSES IN THE DESERT
After Moses killed an Egyptian, he fled and spent 40 years in Midian. When those years were complete, God called him from the burning bush to deliver Israel from slavery.

MOSES ON MOUNT SINAI
Moses was on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights in God’s presence. At the end of that time, God gave him the Ten Commandments to guide His people.

ISRAEL IN THE WILDERNESS
Israel wandered 40 years because of unbelief. When the 40 years ended, God led them into the Promised Land He had promised their fathers.

DAVID AND GOLIATH
Goliath mocked Israel for 40 days. On day 41, God raised up David, and the giant fell.

JONAH IN NINEVEH
Jonah warned, “In 40 days, Nineveh will be destroyed”. But the people repented quickly, and on day 41, God showed mercy instead of judgment.

JESUS IN THE WILDERNESS
Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights and faced the devil’s temptations. When those 40 days ended, the devil fled, and Jesus began His public ministry.

THE RISEN CHRIST
After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to His disciples for 40 days, teaching them about the Kingdom. On the 41st day, He ascended into heaven, and the Spirit was soon poured out.

Over and over, 40 marks a time of testing, waiting, or preparation. But afterward comes deliverance, promise, victory, or new beginnings.

If you’re in your “40” right now.. don’t quit.

God is not finished. The rain will stop. The desert will end. The giant will fall.

Your “41” is coming. 🙏🏻🤍

We are Grateful and Thankful for this wonderful group of people who served as our preaching “team” the last several months. Each one brought their unique style of ministry to our church and served our congregation in a time of need. We appreciate them and had a wonderful potluck after worship this past Sunday to thank them. “May God Be With You Til We Meet Again”🎶 **special thanks to Bud Mead for making the beautiful gifts for our team.
