NOTE: Social distancing is not an issue to volunteer here:
I can provide the tools needed and food/ Water. Choose which duty you prefer. Light duty and Medium duty volunteers needed for the following:
- Raking up small limbs and debris into piles to be burned later.
- Chainsawing one large pine tree into sections that was cut down to prevent it from hitting the headstones and may need the means to pull logs with a chain over to a burn pile.
-Help with planting Shade Trees or donate plants, trees. Could use some River Burch trees for shade due to the quick growing time. Any sort of evergreen plants or privacy plants. Could use some donated W**d killer, Mulch or landscape border.
-W**d eating parts of the Cemetery where there is grass left.
- Could use help with filling in sections of the graves with dirt or sand.
- Help with making PVC Crosses which I will provide the pipes and fittings from the donations we received. They will be put down for 100 Unidentified burials whose Markers are underground, vandalized or destroyed.
- Need help locating underground headstones and parts of headstones that are buried and missing but would be around the grave. Would need to probe for them and excavate them so they could hopefully be repaired.
- Need help removing dead tree roots and anything sticking out of the ground that could ruin a lawn mower blade. I use a shovel to dig them out without issues.
- Need help drilling into multiple stumps to put in chemicals that will kill them or can also burn the stumps.
Anything helps, whether it is a donation, a one time volunteer gig for a couple of hours here or there and can be done on your own time whether we are there or not. Permission was granted to do whatever was necessary.
If anyone know someone who could give a discounted rate for hauling Dirt, Sand, gravel, laser etching Rocks for alternate headstones, please let me know. Everything paid for has been out of our own pockets, 401k withdrawals, fundraisers and etc. I'm unable to fund this on my own right now but re-habing this forgotten gem is well worth it and it deserves the attention and care put into it. Thank you.
