Matthew 25:41-46. The goats. A final view of the lost! Unless you are born again, it would be best you be not born at all. Our lives by nature are ailenated, separated, and quite contrary to God. After a life of selfish, sinful living, these head strong, disobedient people will share the same destiny as the devil and his demons. Horrible place with extreme suffering. It's everlasting fire and permanent punishment. Why punishment? Because of their sinful, selfish, unbelieving, neglegent, and hard hearted life! God only puts guilty people in this dreadful place. They saw needs they were able to meet, and then some. They did nothing. They met situations that needed help, which would not have cost them much, but did nothing. They observed suffering they could have lessened with a little bit of effort. They did nothing. They do not care because they only love themselves. Goats are non-doers because they do not have the love of God in them. Oh, they feed themselvs, clothe themselves, pamper themselves, spend money on themselves, but pass thoughtlessly over the needs of others! Goats are utterly carelss, loveless, and insensitive to the great troubles they encounter in others, in particular the Lords flock! They actually have no interest in the Lords church or His brethren, except fault finding. Goats are critics, not converts! The goat motive for life is get, get, get, have, have, have, have. Not give share and help! Those who dont give a 'damn' about the church or her needs, or people and their problems, shall be as surely damned as the devil himself. A self-centered heart is a wicked heart of unbelief. Yes, the opportunity was there. They saw it. They knew about it. But their blessings and goods were all hoarded for themselves, and other secular, worldly issues and pleasures were their concern and priority! Jesus and his gospel were near. They did not care. They can't see Jesus. They do not love Jesus. They have no use for him or his people. The people who are going to face damnation have goat hearts and goat ways. Lost sinners are actually in league and harmony with the devil. They will join him when life is said and done!
