The church is a place where God’s people gather, but God’s presence doesn’t stay there. As followers of Jesus, we are called to glorify Him everywhere we go.

This Sunday, we were reminded of a truth our culture often forgets: we are not our own.

Because of the cross, those who trust in Christ have been bought with a price. Our identity is no longer found in our feelings, achievements, or past mistakes, but in Jesus.

True freedom isn’t found in doing whatever we want. It’s found in belonging to the One who gave His life for us.

The authority of Scripture isn’t something we adjust to fit culture, comfort, or personal opinion — it’s something we submit our lives to. Real love doesn’t avoid hard truths, because God’s Word was never meant to simply affirm us where we are, but to transform us into the people He’s called us to be.
Loving people well means holding firmly to the truth of Scripture, even when those conversations are difficult. God’s Word corrects us, shapes us, and leads us toward holiness.

Today, we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

We thank God for their courage, their sacrifice, and the freedoms we so often take for granted because of them.
May we never forget the cost of freedom, and may we live with gratitude for every life laid down in service to others.
