Join us for Reformation Sunday and our ninth graders’ Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation)!
10–11 am: Celebrate our confirmands at a reception in Fellowship Hall!
We’d be grateful for your help making the celebration special. Whether you can set up, serve, or clean up. Food is provided, so just bring your helping hands!
Let’s show our young people what it looks like when God Works through us!

Jesus was political.
And Jesus challenged political power.
He stood alongside people the government overlooked and mistreated. He confronted leaders who used their authority at others’ expense. And ultimately, Jesus was executed by the Roman government.
But that doesn’t mean Jesus belongs to any political party.
It means the gospel speaks to power, authority, how people are treated, and what it means to care for our neighbors.
Sometimes the gospel comforts us.
Sometimes it makes us uncomfortable.

The Great American Food Trip: Senior Lunch Travels to the Midwest.
Today’s Senior Lunch took us on a delicious trip to the Midwest, complete with B**r Cheese Soup, B**r Brats, German Potato Salad, Jell-O, a Relish Tray, Baked Apples, and a wonderful assortment of Midwestern dessert treats.
A big thank you to Thrivent for providing funds for today’s meal!
But the best part of Senior Lunch isn’t just what’s on the menu. Walk through Fellowship Hall at noon, and you’ll find tables full of smiling faces, people laughing and sharing, birthdays being celebrated, hymns being sung, and joy and gratitude all around. Hearts and bellies full.
And behind it all, a lunch crew serving up every meal with hard work, care, and plenty of joy.
Honestly, walk through Fellowship Hall at any point during Senior Lunch, and you’ll see caring and loving in action. Friends showing up for friends. New faces being welcomed. People finding their place and knowing they belong at the table.
We hope you’ll pull up a chair for next month’s Senior Lunch on Monday, November 2.
There is ALWAYS room at the table.

Well, that was a joyful, holy, and wonderfully full Sunday.
Yesterday we packed a LOT into one morning at Celebration Campus!
Pets were blessed (and very possibly stole the show).
Pastor Anna Roper and Matthew Felbein were officially installed.
Kelly Volin made treats for both the four-legged AND two-legged guests, and they were almost too beautiful to eat. Almost.
And we wrapped it all up with coffee, conversation, treats, and time to simply hang out together.
All Creatures, Great and Small, new beginnings, good food, and a whole lotta fun. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning.
Thanks to everyone who joined us, and especially to our furry guests for being on their bestest behavior.

Room4Both is a monthly interfaith gathering for q***r adults to connect, explore faith and spirituality, share honestly, ask big questions, and build community.
Room4Both began nearly two years ago with the guidance and leadership of an Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church Vicar (Emily) who wanted to create space to explore the intersection of faith and q***r identity. Today, the group welcomes people from all faith traditions, people who are spiritual but not religious, people who are questioning, and people who aren’t sure what they believe. It is not exclusively Christian or Lutheran.
2nd Monday of each month | 7:00–8:30 pm | Naperville
