Worship tomorrow at 9:00AM and 10:30AM! Please note there will be no 8:00AM worship this week.

🌳 At 9:00AM, worship will be held OUTDOORS. Bring a chair or blanket, and join us for music and Holy Communion in God's great outdoors! In the event of inclement weather, we will gather in the Sanctuary.
​
⛪ At 10:30AM, worship will be in the Sanctuary and via live stream at peopleofgrace.org/digitalcampus. ​
We will finish with our sermon series, Kingdom Come - Living God's Way in an Upside-Down World. Rev. Cindy Marino will give our sermon, "The Freedom of Forgiveness."

🌳 Worship Outside with Us This Sunday! ☀️
Join us THIS Sunday, September 6, at 9:00AM for a special Outdoor Worship service! Bring a lawn chair or blanket and experience worship surrounded by God's beautiful creation. We'll enjoy music, celebrate Holy Communion, and gather together in the great outdoors.

Please note that there will be no 8:00AM service this Sunday. If you prefer to worship indoors, our 10:30AM Sanctuary service and livestream will be available as usual.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll simply move the 9:00AM service into the Sanctuary.

Register Now for Confirmation Class 2026–27

Registration is open for this year's Confirmation Class, a 31-week journey beginning with a parent and mentor orientation on October 4.

The class is open to students in grades 7–10 who have not yet been confirmed. We'll meet Sundays from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in Room 233, led by Pastor Sophia and Director of Youth Ministries & Missions Gaye Lynn Loufek.

Along the way, students will take part in two retreats, a service project, and three visits to faith communities: Congregation Beth Shalom, the Islamic Center of Naperville, and Chicago Temple UMC in downtown Chicago.

Let’s Praise and Shout—musically—together! All who are in 6th-12th grades and love to play instrumental music or sing are invited to come check out our NEW Youth Praise Team. No need to be (or feel like) an accomplished musician vocally or instrumentally, all are welcome. Our FIRST rehearsal will be Sunday, September 13 from 10:30AM to 11:45AM in Room 234. You're invited to join a Grace Community Builders (GCB) Group beginning the week of September 13!

GCB help build a stronger sense of community within our church. This powerful idea is based on getting to know other members of our church better and to have an enjoyable time while doing it. Each group is comprised of six people. Each Community Builder will spend approximately one hour a week with a different participant in his/her group over a period of five weeks. After the five weeks, we will have a potluck on Friday, October 30 at the church for participants and their spouse, significant other, or a friend.

​🎒 This Sunday is also Backpack Sunday! As a new school year begins, we invite people of all ages to bring a backpack, purse, wallet, work bag, diaper bag, or another item you carry with you each day to any worship service. We will have a special blessing for the places we are going, the responsibilities we carry, and the people we will meet along the way. Everyone will also receive a Making Space for Grace bag tag and/or a fun sticker as a reminder that God’s grace goes with us wherever we go.
