We did it! The work got finished! We had some frantic moments where things didn't go as planned, but that happens every trip! We were down to the wire on Saturday night, but got it done!! We enjoyed worshipping with the Pawnee Assembly family on Sunday morning. I'll share a video in another post from the Sunday morning service.

Day #1 of our Pittsfield, Illinois mission trip is complete! It was a partial day of work since crew members were arriving throughout the day but still accomplished quite a bit. The Pittsfield church hosted us for lunch, which was greatly appreciated. The best part of our mission trips is meeting so many people and working together on projects. Sometimes we even meet other Calvary family members we haven't met before and get to know each other as we serve together! We're excited to see how the Lord will bless our week together! Go Rural!

One of the highlights of the Burgund Retirement Party! Pastor Tim wrote and sang an amazing song to celebrate all the places Pastor Wanda has led Calvary mission adventures!! Enjoy!!

What a wonderful morning celebration for Pastor Mark and Pastor Wanda. Nearly 300 people gathered to show their love and gratitude for these two wonderful friends!! As someone said this morning, they didn't think they'd ever hear 'Pastor Wanda' and 'retirement' in the same sentence. Pastor Wanda said they aren't retiring, they are being repurposed!! 🤗
We had a delicious breakfast; a wonderful time of worship; several tributes; (both in person and on video) many mission adventures shared and ended the morning with a closing prayer blessing Pastor Mark and Wanda.
Pastor Marty announced the opening of the Burgund Trail around the Calvary lake, that interconnects with the new community being built along our back entrance.
We have all been so blessed to have Pastor Mark and Wanda in our lives. They will still be around Calvary, so there's more adventures ahead!! God bless and keep the Burgunds in their next chapter of life!!
