GOD: The Giant Elephant in the Room

GOD: The Giant Elephant in the Room God is indeed the elephant in the room; as people seem to disregard HIS presence, as if HE doesn't exist. We, I say, HE certainly does! And so: This page!

Does God Endorse Christmas?..... by Pastor Jess Foglesong of God's Touch, NV:

I love Christmas, and the entire Christmas Seasonal event. It is a wonderful time of the year. It is a time for all to come together and share goodwill, warmth and love in celebration of the birth of the Son of God: Christ Jesus.

At least that is what it used to be. It seems though that through the years, the meaning of Christmas has been altered. Today you hear more: “Happy Holidays” instead of Merry Christmas. It is a "Holiday Tree" rather than a Christmas Tree. The emphasis is more toward commercialism than spiritualism. We have literally taken God and Jesus out of the equation. Making it more a time for who receives the highest sales, or who receives this or that; and, what am I going to get out of it.

When was the last time you experienced strolling carolers singing Christmas songs outside your front door? How often do you see a nativity scene on display at your town square? It is simply not done anymore, for fear of vandalism or reprisals. Has Christmas lost its true meaning?

So what does God, the Father, think about all of this? Has He gone south? Or is He still with us. Does He tolerate the fact that in many ways, we have turned our backs on Him? Does all of this surprise Him?

Actually, our Father does understand and tolerate our indignant attitude toward the celebration of His Son’s birthday. He understands that Satan is quietly and very subtly working to influencing the people of this planet toward his ways; transforming “Christmas” (and all that it stands for) into something negative. He has certainly succeeded in twisting Jesus Christ into a negative – swear word; as well as God’s name: It is the colloquial phrases: “God Damn” or “for Christ Sakes!”

Very subtly and quietly we seem to be moving away from God. And it really shows during Christmas, although this isn’t the first time. Humanity has turned away from God many times in history. And for some crazy reason, He keeps giving us a second chance.

And so, are we moving away from Him? Well, doesn’t it seem like it to you? We are not allowed to pray in public. Certainly not in school – any school! Our government has declared that we ‘separate’ church and State; that we must not offend those who do not believe in a God. In fact, most politicians shy away from using God in their campaign; implying that if they did, it would be their downfall.

The only place one can hear the name God is in Church or in your own home. It is a sad commentary! Knowing that we were all formed on the virtues of a Moral Law; a belief in a Creator; A belief that mankind is endowed by someone greater then themselves.

God has a plan and has implemented it through His son, Jesus the Christ. No matter what direction we choose, God is there to re-direct you to Him. He knows your weaknesses; your frailties. He understands the human plight; the human need to always be first and in charge of his self … “why do I have to bow down to some all-supreme being!!?” That is their attitude. Unwilling to accept the fact that he himself is a created being; that all that he is, and all that is around him was created by a Father in heaven.

Mankind was lost (due to original sin) and could have been lost forever. But God chose to salvage each and every one of us, through a representative, a redeemer. It was the only way to bring us home. An illustration would be found in the New Testament story of the prodigal son (Luke 15: 11- 32) who had been lost, but found his way home, and was warmly greeted (with opened arms) by his father. A type of who we are – humanity lost. But through the Father’s grace and love was welcomed home again.

Another illustration is written in the Old Testament: The nation of Israel, lost and enslaved by the Pharaoh was freed by the Father, through a type of Savior in the name of Moses. Who led his people into the wilderness for 40 years, then finally crossing the Jordan River into the Land of Milk and Honey (which symbolically is a type of heaven, or kingdom of God).

God’s plan has always been to free us from Satan’s grip; his power (which He did at the cross); and now we are in the wilderness, making our way home to His open arms; to the true heaven; to mankind’s true home.

Yes, it may seem like we are distancing ourselves from our Father–God. But in reality, we are moving, everyday, closer and closer to His loving arms and care. Our castaway status will be no more. We will be back in His main camp – safe and secure. So no matter what the atheists, agnostics, or anyone else may want us to believe, they are fighting a losing battle. God is tenacious. He is relentless. He is determined to bring us home – as many of us as He can persuade.

He does see Christmas as an event for all of us to enjoy--and reflect, on the immaculate birth of the Prince of Peace, over 2000 years ago: His Son.

Why Jesus had to Die?..... Approved by Pastor Jess Foglesong of God's Touch Ministry, NV:

This may startle you but the main reason why Jesus Christ really died was not so you might be saved. Now before that sounds too heretical let's keep in mind that the tendency that each of us has through our own perspective is to personalize everything within the Christian realm. (Jesus died for me. Jesus is coming back again for me). Now, while those are indeed true statements, and part of the Christian faith, they are only part of the picture.

Calvary had issues to settle which transcend any personal, subjective statements. And if we can understand that we will have an appreciation for what is going on in this great struggle for the right to rule this universe. It is when we lose this broad perspective, the cosmic perspective, and fail to see what is in this ordeal for God that we turn Christianity into an excuse for personal selfishness. It is in the narrow perspective that we ask: "why is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this? Why is God punishing me? Let's expand our perspective. Calvary is a God issue.

Jesus Christ did not primarily die that you and I might be saved. As in every war ever fought the consequences are always grave. each side has a total stake and it is no different in the spiritual struggle over the right to rule. The deceptive powers of the opposing force, led by Satan, were so great that many, even of the unfallen beings in the angelic world, did not fully comprehend the character of Satan nor understand all the claims against the government of God which he brought. And the only way, excluding force (which is not an option for God) for Him to be able to set the record straight, and reveal the principles of His government, was to let the two ways of life exist side by side. Every day, at home, at the job, or where ever, we experience the interaction of these two governments. We feel the coercion of Satan's government and we hear the invitation of God's government. Good and evil are engaged in a bitter struggle. The entire course of history prior to the cross, written down in the form we know as the Old Testament, is Satan's attempt to thwart God's implementation of Genesis 3:15 - where He would provide a Redeemer for mankind.

AIl through human history Satan has attempted to block the plan of salvation. He entered the stream of human history and has created chaos, confusion, hatred, selfishness and a host of other ills. And then came Calvary. And like nothing before, Calvary was the turning point in salvation-history. Here was the full redemption for mankind. Here was the full exposition of the principles of God's government, rooted in His love. And here, at Calvary, was the full unmasking of the arch-deceiver. Drama like nowhere else. Nothing in all history has the impact of Calvary.

It is the supreme demonstration of the love of God. It is the evidence of His previous promise. It is manifestation, reality, fact. It is physical evidence that God is a God of love, and justice. It guarantees the unchangeable character of God. Had God been able to change He could have re-written His law to accommodate a sinful world, thereby avoiding the sticky problem of death for its violation. Had it not been for Calvary we would each be assessed with our own death sentence.

Ye have sinned and (continue to) fall short of the glory of God. -Romans 3:23 The wages of sin is death. -Romans 6:23

More than any other thing Calvary is the vindication and exoneration of God's government. Christ died to uphold the claims of His Father's government. Christ died to uphold the claims of righteousness and justness. Christ died to secure the safety of the universe, to free it from the grasp of one who is ruthless, coercive and killing. Thank God that this process of vindication carried with it the personal salvation of the sinner. We are included in the redemption process but we are not the central figures. Perhaps the following illustration, though imperfect can help.

A nation fights a war in which thousands of people die. There are two perspectives which should be kept in mind. To the nation the primary concern is that the war be won - even at the expense of thousands. But in a remote village, a lonely mother's primary concern is that her only son return home safely. Her viewpoint is a personal one. The national perspective is broader than that, even that her only son might have to die in the service of the nation.

Perspective is all-important.
I realize that our individual salvation is most important to us. But that is not the central issue in this great struggle between good and evil, between God and Satan. The honor and vindication of God's government is most important. The vindication of divine rightiousness and justness, indeed God's holiness transcends all human interests. This is why the number one reason why Christ died is not to save you from your sin but to uphold the claims of a holy law before a holy God with a holy character. And in that vindication process we are included. Now that's good news! What value would it be to us to be bought by one who did not have the right to rule? One who could not guarantee the safety of that salvation? Our personal salvation means something precisely because it rests upon the security of God's total vindication.

God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die that the government of God might be free from the lying accusations of Satan; and that the universe would be safe for redemption. Free from lies, free from deceit, free from murder, free from slander. God initially made this universe free from all those things and the process of redemption restores this condition. It will require the establishment of His kingdom in full to implement the full reality of this blood-bought freedom, because, though Satan is no longer the legal owner he continues to be a major factor in the daily life of each of us. Earth is, after all, the arena of war.

Before Calvary Satan was the prince of this world and he could enter into all heavenly councils, all discussions concerning the affairs of this universe. He showed up in the heavenly councils as the representative of earth.
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, 'from where do you come?' Then Satan answered the Lord and said, 'from roaming about on the earth and walking around on it: -Job 1 :6,7

Calvary changed all that. This monumental occasion marked the legal transfer from Satan to Christ, stopping Satan's attendance at the heavenly council meetings and stopping his claim as rightful owner. Calvary absolutely shattered the very government of Satan, ripping apart its flimsy foundation and pulling off its lying mask. Satan was afraid of this Calvary event and did his best to keep it from happening.

At the very outset of Christ's ministry (Matthew 4) he met Him to do spiritual battle. Since Christ was invading his territory and living on his turf Satan had the drop on Jesus and called all the shots. He made a desperate attempt to sidetrack the ministry of Christ and get Him to act in a manner outside the will of God. To no avail. In succeeding years he worked through the church leaders to instill opposition. But finally Calvary happened.

No doubt there was initial exuberance in the underworld as the impact of the death of Christ did not register. Theirs was the quick response of joy at putting Jesus to death and getting Him out of the way. Then it settled in and they realized the defeat was not God's but theirs. The words of Jesus: "It is finished" sank in and they absorbed the full impact of His death. Their kingdom had been crushed. Earth was no longer their legal possession. Jesus had bought it back. There was victory for this dying man at Calvary. There was victory for Jesus Christ. There was victory for God and His entire government. To make matters worse, Calvary exposed everything about Satan and his government. His character was unmasked. All cards in his hand were now laid on the table. There were no more tricks up his sleeve.Everyone in the universe could now see him for what he really was - a murderer and the father of lies. It was just as God had said in the beginning only then they didn't understand. Now they did. There was no doubt now concerning the allegiance of this universe. All questions were answered. All the angels in heaven who might have had questions about Lucifer being expelled from heaven were now completely satisfied. They saw how right God, was. All the suffering and misery in the world for thousands of years upon this earth now had a focus to it. Satan had caused it. It was not God getting even. It was not God manipulating people's responses. They could see the truth behind every charge against God.

Calvary left nothing to the imagination.
Calvary lifts the curtain. God does not cause cancer to teach faith. God does not create financial reverse to teach trust. God does not cause death, sickness, adversity sorrow, pain -- or a thousand other negatives. These are instruments of Satan to create a world of chaos and cause us to lose trust in God's Word. Thanks to Calvary we know the truth of these matters.

Was God's government just? Yes! Calvary proved that. Was God's government based upon love? Yes! Calvary proved that. Was God who and what He said He was? Yes! Calvary proved that. Was Satan a liar - even the father of lies? Yes! Calvary revealed that. All the pieces of the cosmic puzzle were now coming together.

So why doesn't the experiment end? Because though the legal factors have all been decided there is still the matter of taking the legal verdict and giving the world that news so there can be free-will response. That is what preaching the gospel is all about. Not preaching church dogma or even beautiful religion. Preaching the gospel: the Good News about what God has done through Christ on our behalf!

And the good news today is that we are included in His purchase of this universe. It is simply a matter of us accepting His invitation to join His family. What about it? Amen! (God's Touch Ministry)

Alcoholism and Drug use: God's Stance?..... by Pastor Jess Foglesong of God's Touch Ministry:

Like the flame of a gentle, glowing candle in your dining room, as you anticipate a cozy, loving meal with your favorite person. It sets the ambiance; a gentle, soft warm feeling of goodness, tranquility and peacefulness. It is the way it should be.

But that same single flame if left unattended could spread, and grow into an uncontrollable beast, devouring everything in its path. In some cases: killing and crippling, and destroying people's lives.

In comparison, they say that drinking one or two glasses of red wine a day can extend your lifespan; certainly, they proclaim, it will enhance one’s over-all health and well-being.

But, if you go beyond that prescribed limit, then look out! You’re going down a path that you may never be able to correct: a path of gloom and doom, and -- like the gentle flame, growing into a raging demon--the addiction of alcohol (or drugs) can bring you to your knees … and in some cases (like an out of control fire) taking everything that you’ve worked for; affecting all those around you: family, friends and, certainly--your personal life.

We ask: What does God think about all of this? Does He forgive those who indulge excessively; who end up losing everything? Who let themselves be controlled by hopelessness and self-pity … turning to the evils and satisfaction of the liquid spirits?

The character of God is unchanging. He is who He is … the I AM! He is totally Righteous and Holy, but at the same time--gracious, kind, loving, and fair. His world is a perfect world … no sickness, no despair, no vices, no sorrow, no death. It is HIS Kingdom. And He demands that we abide by His laws.

Fortunately, God’s laws would be nearly impossible for us to follow, if it wasn’t for one man in history: Jesus, The Christ: The Son of God Himself. God forgives all of us for all of our inequities; for all of our nasty habits; for all of our "bad" qualities. The original Sin has been rectified in the expiation (the payment) of the ransom--The Christ has done his job (in full obedience), representing us (humans) and all of our interest; and covering all of our misgivings and faults.

The only condition: Believe in Him. Believe that He induced Himself into the human stream and became part of us in His Son, The Christ, an off-spring of mankind; our one and only true Savior, through the Father.

Yes, God does forgive all of us--no matter what we do.
He gives us the “freewill” to choose our fate and demise. And know that He is, and will always be With Us! With YOU! His presence is continually confirmed by His Light! You are not alone! Even in your loneliness, He is there … ask Him to raise you up, to hold on to you. He wants you to come out of your disparity and your gloom. He wants you to be free of all vices, and addictions. He wants you to come home: like the wayward prodigal son (of the New Testament, Luke 15: 11-32), the father saw him from a distance, and he called out to him and welcomed him home with opened arms.

Our Father is rooting for you! And He will always be with you. His love is eternal and everlasting. We have (you have) been freed from the original “vice” of sin. Freed by the One: The Christ: He is your alcoholism; your addiction, your inequity, your bend in the road.

We as human beings can now leave all of that behind.
We are “Born Again” ... we have new life within our Representative, our sacrificial Lamb. He wants you to choose life! Which is: Having a day to day relationship with your true Father. Know Him, lean on Him: He is trustworthy, and keeps His promises. Life is precious! Live it, love it! Don't waste it! Enjoy it! I say Amen to that! .

A Mediator appears, through God’s Grace!........ by Pastor Jess Foglesong of God's Touch Ministry, NV

We thank God for His persistence in securing our standing in the community of the living. We had been lost--due to Sin (separated from the Father)--but since then our ransom has been paid by a redeemer (the Christ of God).

And we are now back in the running--to the finish line. Our goal--like many of God’s illustrations: animals migrating home to their place of creation, of birth--to come home to the Father, and to the security of His loving Kingdom.

We are grateful for His grace, and for His ultimate desire to save us from annihilation. Satan had intended to contaminate and lead the human race to certain demise and doom. Not so! The tide has turned and we are back on the road to the “Promised Land" -- Heaven!

God knew it was not going to be easy. A plan had to be devised in order to satisfy His Laws and at the same time redeem a lost group of people--the human race. He decided to come to earth and blend in with humans. He chose a group of people in the middle of a desert and gave them rules to follow. And one day, after thousands of years of showing and illustrating His ways and character He chose one couple, and announced to them--through His trusted Arch Angel, Gabriel--that an infant would be born out of an Immaculate Conception; to name him Jesus. He placed His seed into the woman’s womb and from that moment was part of the human stream of life: He became the mediator; the redeemer!

He grew up as a normal child in a Jewish community and studied and learned all of the traditions and rituals of the land; especially the Torah (The Jewish Bible). His early life was not eventful. He did not realize who he was--the Son of God. He knew that he was different from the rest of the children; and as he grew into a young man, he could feel the calling of His Father. There was a sense of journey, of wanting to see the world around him; and visit the people near and in distant lands.

By the time he became a man, he had already become well versed in carpentry, and made a good living in his community (Jesus the carpenter). As the years went by, though, he very quietly and silently, traveled and moved throughout the region, observing and listening to the people of the world. At the same time he was discovering who he really was: part of the Father in heaven. He came to the realization that he was special; that he was on earth for a specific reason; that he was what God had been showing and illustrating to all for thousands of years, in the ceremony of the “sacrificial lamb.” He realized that he was who Isaiah wrote about: He was the true Sacrificial Lamb; a servant of the Father and to mankind: Isaiah 42:1 "Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations."

It made him even more focused knowing and understanding his responsibilities to His Father; as well as to the entire human race. And as He traveled, meeting and engaging with a multitude of nations, cities, communities and ordinary people, he knew that the time would come when he would have to return to his place of origin; to face his own countrymen; to begin to do the will of the Father:

First of all: to be baptized by water, by his cousin John; to be officially welcomed by the Father as The Christ.
After which he immediately removed himself from the scene by entering the remote desert to deal with Satan; to be tempted. Just as the People of Israel did 400 years earlier. He now would assume all of the responsibilities of an entire nation, in himself. He became the Christ. And after 40 days and nights dealing with the devil, he returned to the region to begin His ministry of showing, disclosing and revealing the true character of His Father in heaven. By then he had reached the age of 30.

He was ready! The will of the Father was imprinted in his mind. He became the teacher, the counselor, the miracle worker, the healer, the fisher of men, a Rabbi of Rabbi’s. He traveled through the land of Israel, announcing that the Kingdom of God is within the midst of all who believed. And as he traveled he slowly won the trust of many.

He formed a group of 12 men and called them His disciples (one for each 12 tribe of Israel). And they traveled with him, learning and gaining knowledge of who he was and most of all: who really, was His Father in heaven.

Instructions given by an Angel of the Transformation! Ref: Rev. 10........ by Pastor Jess Foglesong of God's Touch Ministry:

The Apostle John takes the Little Book and devours it, just as we (you and me) would devour a book by deciphering its contents ... And so the Apostles, who in reality represent the multitude of believers (again, you and me) must take in the instructions given to them by the authority of God, and to wait for the signs of the Transformation.

They will not be harmed as they are part of the inner Temple of worshipers; children of God who have steadfastly believed the word of God through turmoil and tribulation.

God has given two witnesses, symbolically, representing His disciples and apostles whom have gone out to preach His word two by two, as commanded. And in doing so have been mocked, beaten and killed. But due to their strong belief and devotion to the truth of the gospel of Christ Jesus, they defeated death; just as Jesus did at the cross event.

God gave the numbers: three and a half days, 3.5 years, 42 months, and 1260 days, as you can surmise all equaling to 3 and a half years or days, referring to Lazarus's time in the tomb. That those who have been killed (perhaps all believers, you and me), will be in suspended time. And will be resurrected on the 4th day!

To have fully died, one would have to be dead on the 4th day rather than 3 and a half days. Jesus went to Lazarus on the 4th day, to ensure that he was indeed dead; but death could not hold him and Jesus said to Lazarus: come out (of death) and come back to life.

And so, in these days of the Anti-Christian torment and killing by the Anti-Christ groups and movement; the multitude of believers (inside of the Temple boundaries) will indeed be raised to life, and be children of God, to be taken to the gathering place to meet the Bridegroom and be escorted through the gates of heaven, to the presence of God the Almighty! Amen to that.

God is Spirit, Divine, Energy, Light!
...... by Pastor Jess Foglesong of God's Touch Ministry, NV

He is a spirit. He is divine. He is energy. He is light!
His presence fills the universe; every object, every animal, plant; every being. His information is embedded within every molecule, within every atom in the universe. He is the ultimate common denominator. He is the “Light” that beams from within all matter, and non-matter. We cannot get away from His illumination, His presence. We are here because He is here. If He leaves, we cease to exist. He is the divine; the ultimate Super Being!

So if God dwells within all of us, what and where is heaven? Most of us think that heaven is up there!
Somewhere over the clouds; somewhere beyond, or “over the rainbow.”

Well, yes … heaven is somewhere beyond the rainbow.
It is beyond our comprehension; it is a place outside our realm; in a higher plateau or sphere. And God does frequent this magical place -- inhabited by angels. It is a glorious realm: pure, majestic, righteous. It is a place reserved for the sinless and righteous. It is God’s dwelling; and He operates His government with justice and love. Heaven is just on the other side of the unseen -- Invisible. And it has a one way door. We (the tainted) are forbidden to enter this door, due to original spiritual sin. The sin committed by the one who wanted to be God; the usurper of God’s will. His name is Lucifer!

Lucifer was an Arch-Angel of the government of God. His duties included steward of planet earth -- including all life forms. He was in charge of all lower echelon angels in the care and support of earth. But Lucifer decided that he wanted to take things into his own hands; to be like God.
Because of his disobedience, sin entered, and God banished him, and one third of his followers (fallen angels or demons) to earth and at the same time condemning all life forms on earth--as part of the same sin. Therefore, due to Lucifer’s disobedience, humans fell into sin as well.
Lucifer was our heavenly representative: he reported to God and His governmental council of angels. Lucifer became known as the ’Red Dragon.’ And he became the devil: manipulating and influencing human kind throughout the ages.

So even though God strives for perfection, He allows His creations to have the freewill to choose. Freewill is universal, given to all of His creations--including angels. And so, the reason why there is evil and strife in the world. Evil was present at the Garden of Eden; influencing Adam and Eve.

Adam: The first Redeemer--failed!

God then decided to experiment in redeeming mankind by creating a human being that was sinless, placing him in a special, heavenly domain known as the Garden of Eden. He was named Adam, and knew only good; he was sinless. And his purpose was to be the forbearer, the leader of a lost race; he was the redeemer. God created a wife for Adam, and they both became the first family--sinless and righteous in God’s eyes, because they dwelled within the sacred garden.

But lurking in the darkness was Lucifer--evil. He knew that in order to redeem a lost race, there had to be perfection in the first born. So the devil--in the form of a serpent or snake--came into the presence of Eve (knowing that she had enormous influence on Adam) and tricked her into eating a fruit from the ‘Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil’ … and offering the same to Adam. And by disobeying God’s instruction of not consuming the fruits; instantly, the experiment failed, as Adam became just a man--he had disobeyed God’s command, and at that moment the garden gates opened exposing the chaotic realm of a sinful world. It would take many more generations before another ’redeemer’ would be anointed. Lucifer (Satan) kept up the pressure through the ages in God’s attempt in bringing forth a new redeemer.

God began His creation of humans by using a known method called adaptation and (in a sense) evolving. He knew that the end product had to be unique and special. So, from the onset of animal and human life He put forth a code system called DNA. It is an extremely intricate set of codes that determine who and what each specie became.

Every form of life was coded; from plant life to animals, to human beings. These codes are very similar for many species, varying just a little. God experimented by creating tree animals such as Lemurs, monkeys, than Apes, before moving on to pre-humans, called hominids--Ape-man like creatures that through time adapted and evolved by coming out of the trees, into walking upright. From this stage emerged the Neanderthal man (200,000 to 30,000 years ago) that exclusively occupied the region of what is Europe today. They were short, tough, stocky and strong pre- humans that were very adaptable to the extreme climate of northern latitudes.

Through time, another specie emerged known as Homo- sapiens or Cro-Magnon man (50,000 years ago). They were very similar to what we are today: tall and slender, very agile, and standing very erect, as well as intelligent. They migrated, out of Africa and settled in all parts of the earth. They actually came into contact with Neanderthals; so far, it is unknown whether the two species commingled.

God’s fine tuning was in the process, in finalizing an exquisite specimen from homo-sapiens. These pre-historic humans freely populated the earth from Africa, to Europe, into Asia, Southeast Asia, south through Australia, and the many tropical islands of Polynesia. They eventually migrated north from China, through southern Alaska, down into the Americas, into Central and South America.

The earth--the world--10,000 years ago, was basically
populated, from end to end, top to bottom. Life flourished everywhere: in all continents, and many of the islands. But most of the earth’s inhabitants were not organized. It was survival of the fittest; some groups made it, some did not. Gradually groups became tribes, then into villages, then into a multitude of pagan societies. Their intelligence developed slowly; gradually learning techniques for survival.

Planet Earth was Shaping up

The earth was shaping up. Primitive societies in all the continents: Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America. Ancient pagan tribal societies developed into more complicated idol worshipping, sacrificial, ceremonial types of communities; in general though, still haphazard and chaotic. Then, approximately 10,000 years ago something amazing happened: God was ready to infuse the neshama (Hebrew: human soul) into human kind; giving them the moral choice of what to choose within their surroundings. The freewill, to live a life as one chooses. To choose one God, or false gods. God also gave them the ability to realize that they were created by someone or something greater then themselves. Animals did not have this unique ability, they acquired the nefesh (Hebrew: animal instinct) instead.

After the neshama was instilled in all humans, life on earth developed exponentially, until it really got out of hand. So much that God decided to step in and start over through a man of faith named Noah. He instructed him to build an Ark large enough to house his family (clan) and two of every animal in the “known” world. Noah was obedient and the Ark was constructed, and God made it rain 40 days and nights; water covered every part of the world, every living thing perished. And when Noah, his family and all the animals finally stepped out, onto the dry land, God said to go into the land and multiply. God’s plan was back on track -- a redeemer was in the works.

God’s people multiplied through the years, until a time arrived when He decided to elect out of the millions of human beings, one man (and his tribe or family) named Abraham. And they lived in the Middle East, in a land called Ur (in the country of today’s Iraq). And because God instilled in him the neshama--the ability to understand a spiritual entity--he came to know of a spiritual, invisible Creator; a supreme Father in heaven; . And because of Abraham’s allegiance, God chose him to begin His program of salvation and redemption for all of humanity.

But in-order to bring a redeemer to light, there must be trials and tribulations; illustrations of trust and obedience by the people of Abraham and his clan. There would be “types” of redeemers and a system of rituals and sacrificial offerings symbolizing the coming of a redeemer; a representative of all humanity: even, a future Messiah: The Christ Jesus! Amen!
