Established in 1793, making it one of the oldest and continuous Baptist Churches in the state of Maryland. God has blessed us tremendously.

George Washington became President of the United States in 1789. One year later, in 1790 four men from Virginia, William Fristoe, Jeremiah Moore, Andrew Leach, and Henry Hagan, crossed the Potomac and started preaching the gospel in the

Nanjemoy area. The mother church of the Baptist movement in Maryland is Nanjemoy Baptist Church. The church was established in 1793, therefore making it one of the oldest and continuous Baptist Churches in the state of Maryland. Through the years Nanjemoy Baptist has planted churches in Charles, St. Mary's and Calvert Counties and sent out Pastors & Missionaries.

The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people to pray for the nation. It stands as a call for us to humbly come before God, seeking His guidance for our leaders and His grace upon us as a people. Prayer is as important to our nation today as it was when our founding fathers sought the wisdom of God when faced with critical decisions.

We had a wonderful morning at the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and sharing with the kids what Easter really means. Kids were great and learned that on the 3rd day the tomb was empty and Jesus IS Alive! Praise God!! Thank you to all that came out! Reminder our service tomorrow begins at 10:30am and we'd love to have you join us as we continue to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord.

Mark your calendars and come join the fun at our annual Easter Egg Hunt! We would also love to have you join us Easter Sunday at 10:30am as the Church Choir presents the musical "At The Cross".

Several “unsuccessful” attempts have been made this week to clear ice from the parking lot, steps and sidewalks at the church. Following one near mishap, decision was made to call off any further attempts and wait until next week when temps warm up a bit. To keep everyone safe, the decision has been made to cancel services Sunday, Feb 1.
Reminder: The Soup Bowl Sunday Covered Dish is still planned for next Sunday, Feb 8.

Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service begins at 7:00pm with the Sunday School Children and Youth Program, followed by the Church Choir presenting the musical "The Dawn of Redeeming Grace". We invite you to come join us.
