Idaho Kairos Prison Ministry By sharing the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, Kairos hopes to change hearts and transform the lives of those impacted by incarceration.

Kairos Prison Ministry is made up of three programs: Kairos Inside, Kairos Outside, and Kairos Torch. Kairos Inside brings together incarcerated individuals for a 3 ½ day weekend taking participants on a journey that demonstrates the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. The Weekend is followed by continuing ministry. Kairos Inside creates a Christian community inside the prison that can transform

lives, decrease prison violence, and reduce recidivism. Kairos Outside is a special weekend retreat designed to support the female relatives/friends of men and women who are or have been incarcerated, or women who were unable to attend Kairos Inside while in prison. The Weekend is followed with ongoing ministry. Kairos Torch offers an initial Weekend event, followed by a six-month mentoring process that encourages young men and women to move towards making better life choices. Kairos Prison Ministry International, Inc. is a lay-led inter-denominational Christian non-profit 501 (c)(3) ministry that is in 37 states and 10 countries. Volunteers are crucial to operating internationally and in the State of Idaho. Idaho has 3 prisons. We are currently serving in only one. It takes volunteers for committee members, musicians, clergy, cooks, and more to support this ministry and reach individuals impacted by incarceration. Kairos is a Greek word that means "fullness of time" or "God's special time." The Kairos ministry gives guests and participants an opportunity to take time to consider their life choices and meet Jesus.

Today, as America celebrates July 4th and 250 years of independence, we pause with gratitude for the freedoms we hold and the many people who have served this nation across generations.

We also remember that chaplaincy has been part of America’s story from the beginning. On July 29, 1775, chaplains were authorized to serve in the Continental Army, offering spiritual care, prayer, comfort, and hope during times of uncertainty and need.

For 250 years, chaplains have continued to show up in places of war and peace, grief and healing, crisis and hope. This legacy is bigger than one organization. It is a calling carried by chaplains across many settings, traditions, and communities.

As Christian Chaplains & Coaching, we are grateful to be part of this ongoing mission of faithful presence, compassionate care, and service to others.

May we honor the heritage, celebrate the freedom, and continue the call to care.

This Fourth of July, we celebrate the freedoms we cherish and remember the hope that changes lives.

At Kairos, we believe that true freedom is found through faith, forgiveness, and transformation. As we gather with family and friends today, let's also keep those who are incarcerated, their families, and the volunteers who serve them in our prayers.

May we continue to be a light, sharing God's love with those who need it most.

Today, we honor and celebrate fathers everywhere.

We give thanks for the fathers who volunteer their time and hearts through Kairos, the fathers serving on the inside, outside, and for our youth, who continue to love and influence their families, and the fathers who work within correctional environments with dedication and compassion.

Fatherhood is more than a title—it is a legacy of love, guidance, sacrifice, and hope. We recognize the impact that fathers make every day, often in ways that go unseen.

On this Father's Day, we pray God's blessings over all fathers and father figures. May you be strengthened, encouraged, and reminded of the difference you make in the lives of others.
