MEN OF VALOR: Becoming the man God calls us to be
Valor: Strength of mind or spirit that enables a person to encounter danger with firmness.
Great courage and boldness in the face of danger, especially in battle:
"For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places", (Ephesians 6:12).
In the heart of Idaho's rugged summer landscape, where mountains rise like ancient sentinels and rivers carve paths through pine covered valleys, a brotherhood gathers each year for a weekend like no other. MEN OF VALOR isn't just a Christian men's camp-it's a call to action for men and their sons to live with purpose, with strength, and with unwavering faith in Jesus. To be a man of God is to walk a path that is both bold and humble. It's not about perfection, it's about pursuit. Pursuit of Christ, pursuit of His righteousness, and pursuit of the role He has entrusted to each of us as protector, provider, leader, and servant. A man of Christ is forged in the fires of prayer, discipline, and sacrifice. He stands firm in truth, even when the world rages against him. His strength isn't measured by his own might, but by the strength of the Spirit God places inside him. He is measured by his ability to love fiercely, forgive freely, and lead faithfully.
At MEN OF VALOR, we celebrate what defines a Godly man: Faith, Family and Freedom. Faith is our foundation- rooted in scripture, strengthened in worship, manifested in discipleship, and lived out in action! Family is our legacy- our wives, children, and friends deserve a man who will lead with strength, with integrity, and with the love of the father. Freedom is not political or personal liberty, but the spiritual freedom found in Christ Jesus which empowers us to live boldly and serve selflessly.
MEN OF VALOR is more than campfires and mountain trails. It's a sacred space in God's great creation where fathers and sons, brothers and friends, gather together with one another to gain knowledge, share struggles, find hope, and forge a brotherhood; a network of God filled men! As is stated in Proverbs 27:17 "as iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend". Through shared experiences and shared meals, church services and discipleship, we will build bonds that last a lifetime, but more important than that, He will forge men of God that will echo into eternity!
MEN OF VALOR is a movement, a reminder that masculinity, when rooted in Christ Jesus, is not toxic, it's transformative. When Godly men gather and focus on His will for them amazing things happen. "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect!" (Romans 12:2). So come ready, come hungry, come humble, and leave better equipped to lead, to love, and to live with Valor as a man after God's own heart.
