"Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations...teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:20...Billy Graham said that he had found that people everywhere, all over the world, would respond to the gospel of Jesus Christ if it was presented simply, with Christian compassion. That is true even for those in our own neighborhoods.

"Then shall he say unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." Matthew 25:41-46...There must be a practical outworking of our faith here in this present world, or it will never endure in the world to come. We need fewer words and more charitable works; less palaver a d more pity; less repetition of creed and more compassion.

"Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect." Matthew 24:44...We should use every opportunity we have to tell others of our glorious Savior who wants all of us to meet Him in the air and to live with Him forever.

"...the disciples came to him privately, saying, 'Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?' " Matthew 24:3...For the true believer in Jesus Christ, the future is assured. We wait the distant trumpet announcing coming of Jesus Christ. The Christian looks to that tomorrow when the kingdom of God shall reign.

"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." Matthew 19:24...God's kingdom is not built on the profit motive. The world's favorite verb is "get." The verb of the Christian is "give." Jesus Christ was rich, and yet, He became poor that we "through his poverty might be rich" (2 Corinthians 8:9).

"For the Son of man is to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay every man for what he has done." Matthew 16:27...His first appearing was quiet - the shepherds, the star, and the manger. His second appearing will be with His dazzling warriors from heaven, able to cope with any situation and to defeat the enemies of God until He has subdued the entire earth.

"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then shall he reward every man according to his works. " Matthew 16:27...Christians are joint heirs with Jesus Christ through redemption, which is made theirs by faith in Him based on His death at Calvary. That He chose to taste the death we deserve shows that the holy angels do not share our sinfulness - nor can they know the joy of our redemption.

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." Matthew 16:24-25...In unmistakable language Jesus told His disciples that discipleship meant a life of self-denial, and the bearing of a cross. He asked them to count the cost carefully, lest they should turn back when they met with suffering and privation.

"Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble." Psalm 119:165...Peace is the gift of God, and He designated His Son, Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.

For whosoever will save his life will lose it; and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." Matthew 16:24-25...The simple truth is - one really believes only that which one acts upon. After being born again we are to demonstrate our faith by our works.
