Martinsville Baptist Church is the only Baptist Church in Martinsville. MBC was established in 1912 at the conclusion of a week long revival. Each member of MBC is committed to sharing and living out the Word of God in their life. We would love to have you come and worship with us. MBC will NOT have services tomorrow, Sunday, February 21, 2021 due to utility outages in our area. We will plan on seeing everyone next Sunday! We pray you stay safe and well during this time.

MBC will not have worship services today, November 22, 2020 as a precaution. Our intention is to gather next Sunday and will provide updates as they are available.

We will be cancelling in person services in accordance with state requirements and CDC recommendations for the foreseeable future. We are people of faith, but will use the wisdom given to make common sense choices during this time. Stay home unless it is absolutely necessary for you to leave.

In lieu of in person services, we will plan to have a service live for you right here on our page at 11 AM on Sundays.

Be in prayer for those that are ill, at risk, leaders, and the world as we face this pandemic.

Martinsville Baptist Church is saddened and our fellowship diminished by the passing of Mrs. Marie Green on October 7, 2019. Marie was a passionate and loving member of our church family and served the church in many ways, some of which were known to very few. In her public support, she served as treasurer of the church for 25 plus years, pianist for 20 plus years, and a Sunday school teacher for many of those years. She was instrumental in many of the areas of the church, including the development and construction of our new sanctuary and fellowship hall renovation, in which under her financial guidance, the church paid close to $300,000 for a facility that is valued at $750,000 and the church has $0 debt on. That is just a small sample of the impact she had on so many lives in our church and community. We are comforted by the fact that she now rests with Jesus and suffers no longer on this earth. A memorial service for Marie will be held at Martinsville Baptist Church at 11 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Please be in prayer for our church and for the Green family as they deal with this monumental loss.
