We are blessed to get to work together with Nacogdoches HOPE to pool our resources and meet needs for our neighbors. As gas prices rise, access to transportation—and in turn, access to our local nonprofits—has been directly affected.

Big thanks to Better Together Nacogdoches for facilitating the grant funding and to KTRE-TV for giving a short glimpse into how God is at work within the Nacogdoches Community!

To learn how to get involved with Open Door Care Center , follow their page or view more details on our website!

Two local nonprofits are partnering to help residents access food and daily resources as gas and grocery prices continue to rise.

SPRING BREAK MISSION TRIP RECAP:

We had two teams serve over the past week in Ottawa, Canada and New Orleans. Both of these trips resulted from our Church Partnerships – churches in other cities we’ve committed to walking alongside and partnering with for the sake of the Gospel advancing in their local contexts.

NEW ORLEANS TEAM:
Our partner, Bridgedale Community Church, is a newer church plant in a suburb outside New Orleans. Over the week, our team focused in two main areas: construction work + community outreach efforts! On the construction side, our team helped construct a deck outside their Worship Center, clear out two storage buildings to make usable ministry gathering spaces, and created an area for food delivery storage – so that Bridgedale can continue delivering food to their neighbors long after we leave.

On the community outreach side, we were able to meet 90+ of Bridgedale’s neighbors within their 1-mile radius of the church. Our youth students were a huge help in canvassing neighborhoods and leading out in boldness in conversations.

CANADA TEAM:
We sent a team of college students to Ottawa to serve with our partner, Celebration Church. While there, they encouraged the local congregation at Celebration and helped restart their church’s presence at universities in Ottawa.

Our students spent a large portion of their days engaging university students in spiritual conversations – discussing the contrast of our faith that is built upon Christ alone with people they met who held agnostic, atheistic, and other differing beliefs. Please continue to pray that the Gospel conversations that happened in Canada will bear much fruit!

We are so thankful for your prayers for the 60+ people who served over this spring break. If you haven’t yet, we’d encourage you to ask about their favorite stories from the trip and how they saw God’s faithfulness at work!

HOW TO PRAY:
- Pray for our groups heading out into neighborhoods, for doors to be opened and for connections to be made! Pray for our students and adults – that their faith would grow as they walk in boldness.
- Pray for our team to stay hydrated and safe as they do manual labor in the heat & humidity! Pray the work would be done with joy & to the glory of the God who calls us each His own!

Here’s a look at the last few weeks at Fredonia Hill!

BAPTISM SUNDAY + COMMUNITY WALK:
We celebrated 5 baptisms on February 8th, and then went into our community to deliver soup kits, pray with our neighbors, and check in about their current needs. It was such a special Sunday!

NEW HOURS + NEW VOLUNTEERS @ OPEN DOOR:
At the beginning of the year, we shifted our Open Door schedule to include Wednesday Nights! It’s our prayer that this evening shift can serve our community members who work during the day. Help us spread the word about Open Door by following our page and sharing our new hours.

MARRIAGE + NEXTGEN CONFERENCE:
We were blessed to have Tracy & Rhonda Hearnsberger lead a day-long conference, focusing on key principles for healthy marriages rooted in scripture. Alongside the Marriage Conference, our K-12 had a full day of study, discussions, & play!

BABY DEDICATION:
10 families made commitments to raise their children to know and cherish God’s Word during Sunday’s dedication service. As a church, we also made a commitment to remind each of these children of God’s mighty works and faithfulness.

(Not pictured: lots of 6am community groups, Sunday lunches and basketball games, and time spent together.)

If anything is certain – it is that we find a deep kind of joy in belonging to each other as not just a community, or a group of people in the same room on a Sunday – but as a family.

Message us if you’d like to get connected! We’re always here to help make a big room on a Sunday feel just a little smaller.
