As many of us know, there was a serious fire at Groton Towers apartments on Saturday evening. There was one death and over 100 people were displaced. All 74 apartments in the affected building had to be evacuated. We spoke to the director of Groton Human Services. At first, they preferred money over items. Now they have specific requests for items. If you would like to donate, please bring items to church on Sunday.

Their greatest need is ready-to-eat or heat-up food like:

• Peanut butter (multiple small jars are better than one large)

• Jelly

• Tuna

• Canned meats

• Canned fruit

• Canned vegetables

• Soup

• Juice

• Cereal

They also need:

• Toilet Paper

• Toiletry Items (soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene supplies)

Some items will already have been distributed before Sunday, but they run their food pantry, etc. all year, so supplies will need replenishing after such a large need caused by the fire.

Thank you for always giving so generously when needs arise!
